What does your hall look like that you could possibly need to spend that much to decorate it? $6000 is a lot to spend on decor.

I agree with PP… What decor could possibly cost $30,000?  We are hoping to stay around $300, haha!

Our decor is under $1000 that includes fabric and floral decor.  I wouldn’t know how to spend $6000 on decor!

$6000 is a lot to work with.  What are you trying to do exactly?  Do you have a lot of florals, draping, and lighting?  Still…$30k is insane for most weddings.

What’s your wedding budget?

I’m spending about $1800 on all of my flowers and decor (including personal bouquets) for about an 85 person wedding FWIW.  I don’t have any draping.  Nothing over the top just low floral centerpieces.

Wow thats way more than I think is needed.  What does that include?

We didnt have a decor budget but it came out to around $5k. That includes uplighting, my bouquet, 9 BM bouquets, 12 boutonnieres, 5 corsages and 18 centerpieces, tableclothes and napkins.

@Imean:  Can you give them your budget and see what all they can do?  That might be the easiest.

What are the lounge rentals?  Do you NEED those?  You can just go with the standard round tables and be perfectly fine.

You could re-use the BM bouquets.  For example, put some BM bouquets in vases on the cake table instead of separate cake table flowers.  You could also re-use the church flowers if you have someone able to transport them.  Put those on the cake table and one in the entry way then you don’t need any extra flowers for those tables.

I imagine a large cost is going to all of these lounge areas and extra rentals.  Honestly I would get rid of all of them if they aren’t in the budget.

But your best bet is to go back to them and say “this is my budget, what can you do?”

Those ghost chairs usually tend to be extremely expensive.

Ghost chair rentals and custom chair covers will eat you out of house and home (looked into it for my wedding and promptly let go of that dream). Lounge furniture is also crazy expensive. We had a limited amount at our wedding – luckily our guest list was way smaller, so we could get away with it!

Overall, that’s a ridiculous over the top list of stuff. Beautiful? Yes. But i’m not surprised that it costs that much.
