I think the combination of rustic beams ,  brick wall  and the glass and steel, mean you can do anything you want. The milk glass, burlap and flowers will look great with the brick and beams. It will give an edginess to your decor.

You can use rustic touches in a more modern way, like this barnboard plank.

or make a rustic chandelier in a very modern manner:

Have you picked your maids dresses yet? Here is a combination of modern color dress(steel gray) and more rustic flowers:

You mention red accents in the room. Is that the big structure on the right? It comes across as orange on my computer, so just wanted to check.

I think using the most natural fibers and materials you can will be a perfect blend of what is already there and the rustic touch you are looking for. I think the bright red is just fine for the fall wedding. How about using shades of red from dark burgundy to a a pink. It would give it a nice atmosphere without being too “chinese” and maybe throw a little orange in there.

Maybe curly willow or longer reeds incorporated into centerpieces in those glass jars with a nice twine tied in a bow, but pair it with shades or red/pink/orange flowers or table linens.
