Not sure where to actually post this. This is my first time posting on a non wedding related board so bear with me.
Ok, so dh and I are expecting our 4th baby (we were sorta kinda DONE after baby #3 so this was a surprise). I am finally excited about the pregnacy and baby (at 6 mos now). We are just starting to buy a few things (like the bouncer and bath tub and we got a ton of clothes for him (it’s another boy: we have 2 boys and a princess). My friends want to throw me a shower although I kinda don’t want one as it’s my 4th and I had showers for the other 3…oh well.
So here’s my question: We have a 4 bedroom house. After our 3rd was born, we built an addition(al) bedroom so all the kids could have their own room. Well now, with no more options for another addition, we decided to turn the office into the baby’s nursery/room. The office is painted burgandy. What colors will go well with the wall paint??? I was thinking colors for like decor/curtains/etc. We’re not going overboard in decorating (it’s our 4th). I was thinking green curtains??? Would that Go? What other colors do you suggest???? TIA for all your responses.

@bridalprincess: With Burgandy walls, I’d stick to neutrals personally. Off whites, espresso stained woods, etc. decor is so personal deep it would depend on your taste. I personally would not choose green – but it depends in the rest of the style of your house.

@Snapdragon2804: Thank you. I am just not sure what to do for curtains. So like tan/brown/neutral curtains? We’re not getting a crib as we don’t want one (so no bedding color choices to make) so the only color choice we’d make is curtains I think. We’re trying to stay as simple with the room as possible. It’s funny because our bedroom is the same color and we have neutral curtains/tan curtains but it looks more gorwn up. i wanted something more playful maybe?

@bridalprincess: himmm. What about neutral colored curtains with a print? (Chevron, floral, eyc) so it’s playful or youthful and not too grown up? Idk – I think it might be easier with a picture – perhaps I’ll scour Pinterst and see if I can find a any good inspriation pics.

@bridalprincess: I think a light khaki would look great for curtains.

So far I’ve found this info:
heres a similar color scheme with beige/tan walls incorporating red:
good luck! 🙂
ETA: you could also consider adding removable wall decals to make it playful and fun. easy to remove if you tire of them and not too much effort to install.
