- Wedding: October 2012
When we were looking for a ceremony space, we specifically wanted something that needed very little decorating. For one our budget it super tight, and two, I didn’t really want to be bothered with the details of decorating in general. We decided on a gazebo-looking thing on the 6th floor of a hotel overlooking a river. It’s gorgeous and we decided that all we need is some fabric to drape the gazebo to hide it’s nuts and bolts (literally). I finally found some fabric (tulle) for cheap and now I’m happy in that department.
However, I’m a little OCD and I know I will want the draping to be done in a particular way so I know I’ll be stressing over this the day of. It’s a small wedding (thirty guests) and the only thing we’re decorating is the gazebo. In regards to the wedding, this is the only thing I’m really worried about. Who is expected to do the decorating? If the venue offers up some people, would it be wrong to supervise and direct how the fabric is draped?
