Hi bees- Looking for your opinion on how to decorate for my reception.  My colors are black, pink, b/w damask.

The venue has white linens for free.

I have damask votives to go around my ceter pieces which will just be hurricanes with glass rocks with a candle.

I don't really want to spend extra money on linens but I can't get the pictures of black table cloths with pink runners out of my mind.

Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to decorate and not spend extra on the linens??

Could you do maybe damask or black runners instead of whole table cloths?  Then use could bring in elements of pink in flowers or whatever centerpieces you are using.

I am having the same issue as well. My venue provides white linens included with the fee, but it's extra to do other colors/designs and it's a lot $$, like $30 - $50 per tablecloth! I haven't received the pricing for runners, etc, but I'm sure it's less. She has this really beautiful "underlayer" tablecloth that is mostly black damask that I saw when we went to meet with her. I agree with SanDiegoAli that damask runners with pink flowers would look greeat!

Thanks for the suggestions so far!

Arizona- One suggestion my venue gave me was to use chair sashes instead of runners.  Chair sashes run 1.50 each where table runners can be 8 or 9??

Flowers- I'm not so into flowers so I was just going to use the venues free hurricanes.  I could get pink candles but that seems weird to me for some reason...Maybe I could find pink sand or die the water pink and use floating candles??

What about using a large napkin in the center of the table instead of an overlay or runner? That way you can still add a pop of color on the white table without spending a ton extra on linens.

What about layering pink and black sand in the bottom of the hurricanes before placing the candle inside?
