@CrispyRN: Hi! I'm also having my wedding in a Chinese restaurant in San Francisco, Yank Sing at the Rincon Center. It's a bit more modern than most restaurants and I'm using Virginia's services from S&V Collections on Irving. You can find her on Yelp. She does so many weddings so she has great suggestions for what would look nice for your place. She created a package for me that includes 15 tall centerpieces, chair covers, ceremony decorations, bouquets for me and my BMs...she's doing a lot of stuff. It depends on your location too, I wanted to do uplighting, but Yank Sing's layout is odd so it doesn't work...talking to Virginia definitely gave me better ideas of what I wanted to do for the wedding. @vickyness: Thank you!! I'm visiting Yank Sing on Saturday to view a wedding taking place. I know Yank Sing is a bit pricey, but well worth it I bet!

So I've been looking at some pictures from the restaurant where I'm having my Chinese banquet, the decorations are pretty cheesy.....anyone know of any decorators in the SF Bay Area who's familiar with what a Chinese banquet need but has a more modern touch? Or any pictures for ideas so I can let the decorators know what I want?
Specifically, I'm looking for something more modern in terms of the backdrop with the "double happiness"....and decoration of the head table....
It's a lot harder to modernize/mesh Western designs with a Chinese banquet than I thought!
