How about large groups of large lanterns at the front?  I just bought some yesterday @ Pier 1.  The tallest here is 30″ high.  We’re putting them by our head table.

You could also line the aisle with them.

What about forgetting about the chairs and drawing the focus to the center aisle and front space. Lighting a pathway for the aisle would work. You can use the pillar candles to line the aisle (or something similar) and then do the lanterns in the front so ALL of the focus can be in the middle and the front.

Did you end up coming up with any ideas?  I’m having the exact same problem!

My “vision” right now is to DIY an aisle runner with our monogram on it and have it lined with round vases like these to then fill partly with water that I’ll dye purple and have floating candles in them.  Then between the different candle filled vases (which will be in a variety of sizes) have scattered preserved orchids like these.  The room we’re actually having our ceremony in will be divided with pipe and drape, and I want to hang pomanders from the pipe and drape, I’m thinking of using these to make them, and then I want to make a couple columns (in varying heights) that will look something like this (sorry for the tiny picture):

But instead of having white lights inside, having purple lighting inside them since the pipe and drape will be white.

Any thoughts/suggestions are welcome!!!
