I love Wisp!! I have never been to a wedding out there but Wisp is absolutely gorgeous!
It's so beautiful there! I've never been to a wedding at deep creek, but there are a couple great restaurants. I would probably actually go casual and have it at this place that has AMAZING brick over flatbreads/pizzas, awesome coutry/rustic atmosphere and locally brewed beer. Be sure to hire the Hillbilly Gypsys as your band!!! I saw them at that restaurant when I was out there last. They are INCREDIBLE and the atmosphere was so relaxed but also refined...the food is not fine dining, but it's really fantastic.

If you go to the "photos" tab and click "deep creek" you can see the beautiful outdoor patio and bar and also the hillbilly gypsies playing. it's a cool place! with a great view, too! hey look, a church! lol.

Edit: when I say casual, I don't mean casual dress, i mean a casual venue. people would still dress up and it would be lovely!
@bethesdabride7: Hi there! I know you already had your wedding so this post is old... but where did you end up having your wedding? We already reserved our two mansions on the lake for our wedding, but I was so curious when I saw this post!!!

Have any brides out there had a wedding at Deep Creek Lake in MD? If so, I would love to hear which venue you used! My fiance and I are going to look at Wisp and some mansions and any input from a "real bride" would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
