Definitely TMI… possible allergy to semen?

I think the tingling/numbness and swollen throat might be from the bj itself, not necessarily the semen. I know that if a blowjob goes on for a while, my mouth goes numb pretty quickly, and the swollen throat could just be a result of ongoing friction. You are shoving a blunt object at it repeatedly, I could see some general irritation developing just from that.

As for the eye thing… Yeah, semen in the eye is no fun. I think porn actresses must build up an immunity or something.

(Here’s my TMI) I did date one guy whose semen gave me a horrible reaction down there. Like, itchy, awful reactions that lasted for days. But giving him bjs never bothered my mouth (besides the taste – he was foul, ugh). So, I don’t know, if your ladybits are fine with it, I find it kind of unlikely that you’d have an oral allergic reaction. But maybe talk to your doctor just in case?

@Miss Fish:  If you arent having any vaginal reactions when he finishes in you I wouldn’t assume it’s an allergy. To be gross, semen is salty and full of proteins, maybe its just irratating little cuts or abrasions in your mouth. Your doc can do an allergen test I would assume. Theres also a numbing/flavoured product for BJs that may help a bit. It’s called maske or something along those lines.

@HeyKaraoke:  +1

OP I agree with the PP, my mouth goes numb too but not from semen (only on special occasions!) and I think anyone would have a reaction with getting a shot to the eye

I’ve experienced the numb thing too, but not on a consistent basis. You might have a slight allergy to some of the proteins in his semen. Or, as a PP said, you could be irritating your mouth and lips, and it could be a reaction between the fluid and the tiny scratches and cracks in your mouth.

From what I can tell by Googling, if you were really allergic to his semen, you would get a skin reaction beyond just your mouth. So maybe next time, do some “experimentation,” (bet he’ll be down for it, LOL), swab some of it in a non-chafed location and see if you get hives or welts or anything.

If it’s just the BJ thing, maybe pop an antihistimine beforehand, don’t swallow, and make sure he’s properly hydrated?

@Miss Fish:  Yes. It’s true some people can be allergic to their partner’s sperm. Gross enough for me to type this, but my mom was allergic to my dad’s sperm, and her OBGYN told her that.

Because she was allergic to his sperm (I don’t know what kind of side effects she experienced bc that’s my mom so ew) during her pregnancies her whole entire body itched. She had cascading releases of histomines and nothing she did could make her stop itching. She literally itched herself raw and until she bled.

Why not try doing it with a flavored condom once and see if that helps the issue?

@Miss Fish:  Hahah I didn’t mean to scare you, but there is a protein in semen that can cause allergic reactions! My mom’s body interpretted my brother and I as foreign invaders and waged a war against us… and her… :/

@Miss Fish:  Ummmmmm this my be my own TMI, but I have always sort of though semen made my mouth a little numb, tingly, etc…..

Not don’t get me wrong- I haven’t been with that many people, but I will it’s not just my current guy.  Any semen that has come in contact with my mouth has always been sort of “tingly” or “numb”- as a matter of fact, strange as this is, I was sort of trying to explain this to FI awhile ago LOL

Are you sure you’re not allergic to latex?

Semen in the eye is the WORST. Your reaction is normal. Same with a BJ. You may just be overthinking it! It’s friction. Rubbing back and forth tends to create irritation.
