I was watching a TV show the other day that used the term "King's Table" when referring to a really looonnng table. It looked like at least three or four rectangular tables joined end-to-end. For what it's worth, I tend to like the look--it's very dramatic.
I don't know what a king's table is...but a sweetheart is just for the two (bride/groom). If a king's table is a very long table, I think it depends on your location and your reception style...I've seen pictures of weddings with just 1 very long table and they looked neat.
