    -------

    Where do you fall on the definition of Petite?

    I'm 5'-5" so I don't consider myself short (even tho my 6'3" husband teases that I am!).

    I consider myself the slender family! :)

    I consider myself petite at barely 5' with shoes on (technically 4' 11 1/2") lol.  HOWEVER, I have 36C boobs and somewhat of a butt (as in I def. don't look 12 by "development" standards) haha.  Sometimes I feel like I look strange because I'm small, yet I have bigger features for my frame.  Its not just my boobs/butt either-- I have a large-ish nose, full lips, and muscular thighs.  I'm pretty athletic and work out fairly regularly.  I'm 120 lbs, but I figure a lot of that is muscle (thinking positively :)).  Anyway, for what its worth, FI says I'm "perfectly proportional" so I try not to stress too much about my body :)

    I'm 5'3", currently about 108lbs. I have plenty of hips and chest so I don't consider myself skinny at all, but I have a small frame and bones. I'm pretty compact and can fit most everywhere. I can roll myself into a nice little ball and sleep in airplane seats etc :) I also have a a small face and facial features, so I can still look like a teenager at 35. Sometimes it's bothersome, sometimes cool.

    @SoontobeMrsA:

    HAHAHAH. That is me as well. Built like a 10 year old. Sigh.

    I'm hoping pregnancy will give me boobs. Hahahha.

    @JennBug89:

    Hey as long you and your husband love your body that's all that matters!

    @Gerbera: I didn't get any boobs in pregnancy! I stayed a size 32b the whole time. It was ridiculous. Nursing though gave me ginormous knockers :)

    @SoontobeMrsA:

    Nursing. Check.

    True story: My SIL was probably a 32B she's probably 5'3 98 lbs.
    When she was pregnant with my first nephew her pregnancy boobs got a little bigger. They stayed even after she stopped nursing! Second nephew came along and her boobs got even bigger and they stayed after nursing too! She's probably like a C now.

    I'm praying. hehe.

    @JennBug89: Omg, are you my identical twin? I have the exact same measurements!!! (well, bra size is between 34c and 36b, so you win there). Height, weight, build is the same as yours!

    @Gerbera: Very true!

    @Imagelicious: Hi twin!  I enjoy being small for the most part.  The only thing that ticks me off is trying to buy jeans because if they go over my hips/butt, then they are a mile too long!  Old Navy jeans (size 4 short) have become my best friends!

    I consider myself petite at 5'3", 34B, and though I've gained a stupid amount of weight for no reason in the past year, I'm usually around 120/125. I do always have a butt, though, so if I buy jeans with a regular length, I always have to roll them up.

    @JennBug89: We have a store Reitmans here in Canada and they have Short pants and jeans. The store used to be not bad for work clothes until their sizes became bigger and bigger (I now comfortably fit into their smallest petit size 2) and they started putting stretch top for all of their pants instead of buttons and zippers. Thanks for the tip about Old Navy, I'll check it out.

    I am 5"3 and a half, I weight about a buck ten, give or take. I have 32 F or 34 DD boobs and no butt or hips to speak of, and long legs for my midget body.

    All I can say is thank GOD for the genius who started selling bikini pieces separately

    I am 5'2.5" and 130lbs. (but on my way to 120lb) :P  Bra size is 36C and pants size is 8P.

    From what I have seen from clothing tags and brand size charts, petite is defined as 5'4" and under but has nothing to do with weight.  I can imagine it would be extremely stressful to be petite in height but plus size in weight.  Petite clothes seem to be focused on women of small to average pant sizes.

    I'm 4'11" so I consider myself petite in regards to height.  However, I weigh 127 pounds - I'm very muscular - think gymnast build, and that's me.  I have large thighs and a round booty so I'm not really sure if I still classify as petite lol.

    I consider myself to be petite, but I never knew what the true definition was until now, so thanks Gerbera! I'm a little over 5'3" and 109 pounds. My measurements are 32-26-34, not a lot of hips or chest, and I usually wear a size 0 or 2. I seriously stopped growing after middle school it seems haha, but I'm hoping to upgrade from my current 32B during pregnancy like some you other petite girls.

    @SoontobeMrsA: You're right! After looking at your the pics you posted (I really like the first dress on you btw!), I can see a lot of similarities in our body shape--except you're tinier! I really want to tone up/maybe lose a couple pounds before the big day. But FI likes me just the way I am, so we'll see :)

    My SIL is 4'11 but she is really curvy (pocket venus). My brother is 6'5" and played football in college. He keeps praying that his son will get his height =)

    I'm short but I generally cannot wear petite clothing because they usually slim down the hips and well...I have hips.

    @SoontobeMrsA: What?! You look great! I always wanted more curves too though. I'm working on toning up--if I can stick to a gym routine! I suck at continuously going, but I'm hoping my wedding day will be enough drive for me this time :)

    @Golden139:

    Well, go you! I'm horrible about exercising!!!

    It's such a horrible misconception that just because someone is "petite/skinny" that means they don't need to exercise. I know I need to tone up more and build my strength. Ugh. But I'm sooo lazy.

    My work even has a free gym membership and pilates, that offers classes twice a week during lunch.

    I promise I will start soon!

    @Gerbera: I know! I really don't like that misconception either. Health is the most important reason to exercise, not appearance, which I think can be a mentality that is really hard for a lot of people to overcome.  Your work sounds awesome for offering that program though. Go you (in advance!) for taking them up on it! What a great mid-day release and it would be really fun to do with a work-friend :)

    @SoontobeMrsA: PSH! Girl. 32B = having a chest. I was at one point not long ago a 30AA. LOL!

    I am pretty much "petite" by any definition. I'm barely scraping 5'3" (although thought I was 5'2" for years and years until a nurse not long ago measured me just at 63 inches..who knew) I weigh 91 pounds. But I am finally starting to gain weight!! I'm beyond thrilled. I've gained (this is embarrassing) a pound and a half in the last 2 weeks. My goal is to get into "Onederland" (biggest loser, anyone?) at least, by the wedding, hahah.

    I'd consider myself "petite with curves". 5'3", 130 lbs, 36C with the hips and butt to match for an hourglass figure. I've been known to shop in the petite department, but I find a lot of their stuff tends to be kind of frumpy and they mainly cater to older women (what's with that?).

    I can (and do) wear GAP "ankle"-length pants as full-length pants, and without my 3" heels, my mermaid gown would have had to be hemmed so much it would've looked like my mermaid had a close shave with an outboard motor.

    Petite I guess would work for me... allowing for curves. 5'0", 128lbs and 32G. I just started fitting into my small 6s/normal 4s from my sophomore year of high school again and I'm pleased as anything- means I have knockaround jeans for field school that I don't have to worry about keeping in good condition.

    @littlemissmango: For the longest time the doctor's office back home would peg me anywhere from 4'10" to 5'1.5"

    I have... interesting measurments. I'm 5' even, and weigh about 135. I'm a size 34DD and wear a street size 6. My hips are also WAY wider than my waist. Basically, clothes don't fit me. Ever.

    Oh, and I have FREAKISHLY small hands and ears.
