Well….I’d look at it this way: it might be more difficult to conceive with a late ovulation, but it’s WAY more difficult if you aren’t even BD. So I still would.

Honestly, I know this is probably really not what you want to hear, but try to relax. You will o when you o, and stressing will only delay it more. Your body is still regulating, and it’s very early coming off BC to worry. If your Dr says not to worry, then try to relax. It took me several months to regulate after coming off the pill, and it does for most women.

Yes, still BD when you get a + opk.  It is not unhead of for someone to get pregnant ovulating late.  I can’t remember who on here or hellobee, but there have been several people who got pregnant ovulation CD40s and 50s.  If the egg poor quality, then it just wont work, but its still worth a shot.

I can understand your frustration, since I came off the pill in February I’ve had completely irregular cycles. Apparently it can take up to a year to get back to normal. I ovulate anywhere from CD25 to CD33. My dr has not had any concern regarding egg quality

I have a friend who had 6 week cycles while TTC and got pregnant the first month they tried. She now has a healthy 6 month old baby girl 🙂

Weddingobsessed:  I’ve been off for 4 months and it is only just starting to regulate. :/ It can definitely take a while.

Weddingobsessed:  I went off in late april/early May….didn’t really regulate until about August/September. I had super long, then super short cycles, then tons of spotting…My Dr told me up to a year too.

Weddingobsessed:  I went off the pill over a year ago, and my cycle never regulated. It was very frustrating with some long anovulatory cycles and then it started slowly getting better although I never got a “normal” cycle. Everything worked out though because I found out I’m pregnant a few weeks ago! The two things I did that I credit with making the difference are acupuncture to balance my hormones and taking vitex. You might want to check with your Dr if they think vitex would help in your case. Also are you charting? That would probably be really helpful to understand what is going on. Good luck!

Weddingobsessed:  Thank you! That’s great that you already started doing acupuncture. I hope you  love it. Even before I started seeing much improvement, I enjoyed going and found it really relaxing. I’ve been doing it for about 5 months and plan to keep going through the first trimester. I truly believe it made a difference for me! Hopefully it will work for you too!
