I am desperately seeking eggplant colored satin ribbon ½ inch wide.

I cant seem to find a dark enough ribbon anywhere!

Ive ordered the beet color from paper-Source but its not dark enough

Any suggestion at this point would really help…

The woman doing my invitations said she can’t find it….

Or if we can’t find that color ribbon…can anyone suggest another color that would match Eggplant purple and a burnt orange?

Hi! Eggplant is my color and the person making my invited got the ribbon at Michaels. I also got it there was well for some of the other things I am doing. They have a regualr purple color but they do have an eggplant that is pretty dark. That is what I used.

    Good luck!

I am looking for eggplant ribbon and other eggplant things and I have had the hardest time! I found pintuck taffeta runners in eggplant on Wedding Linens Direct. Good luck and let me know if you find some ribbon! I am going to check at my local fabric store for some...

I havent had to much trouble finding the eggplant. Do any of you have examples of the shade you are looking for? I might be able to help a little bit more. I found all of my ribbon at Michaels.

There is also alot of eggplant accessories posted on the WB Classifieds..so you girls might want to check there

Does it have to be "exact"?  Would the darkest one you come across be close enough?

My main wedding colour is berry and it is a pain in the butt!  My main inspiration was a Moores ad I saw where the vests and ties were berry.  Looking at them in person though they are much more "pink" and I don't think my bridesmaid dress will totally match.  My table runner, favour boxes, and napkins will all also be slightly off.  Some colours are just so hard to match :S

Love this site for ribbon. I use them all the time and the quality of the ribbon is great, and totally NOT expensive:

Hey! Thanks for all the suggestions!

jackie-o- thanks for the pic! is that ribbon oranza or is it satin? This is exactly the color that im looking for actually... Where did you find it?

I have looked everywhere....I checked Michaels, paper-mate, paper-source, and the only place that looks like they might have it is Hobby Lobby....and I dont have any of their stores near me unfortunately

I had a pretty good luck in finding my linens in eggplant, cvlinens has done a really great job and the prices are un beatable.

Miss sweet- Yay !!! A montreal bride! Where are you getting married? :)

I just found mine this weekend at Joann's Fabrics. I hadn't thought of looking at fabric store until my mom brought it up!

@Miss Sayrah: I DO NOT recommend Wedding Linens Direct. Robert Pan is the proprietor and Sylvia is the person who answers emails. They sent me a package where I ordered 16 runners and I only got 6. They REFUSED to send what was missing, and REFUSED my refund..... Very UNPROFESSIONAL and VERY POOR Customer Service! Don't rely on them for ANYTHING!

@ForeverYoung: DON'T rely on Wedding Linens Direct. They shipped only a partial shipment and refused to correct their error. Very RUDE and unprofessional - NOT what you want for a happy day.... Look at Joann's website. I think you might find what you need there. Best wishes.

I bought my cornflower blue ribbon from Ebay.  The seller was located in china so it took a while but the color matched perfectly.

I had the smae problem!!! I ended up having to buy a semi sheer one because it was the only one that matched. I searched every single ribbon store in Chicago lol. this is a picture of our early invite mockup, we went with a different design but this is the ribbo I am talking about.

    Yeah, be weary of weddinglinendirect

I bought from them last month bc they were the cheapest around (should have been my first heads up!) The color did not look like it does online, nor did it look like a "turquoise."  They posted their store room hours online so I went by to see if I could exchage it.  I had not opened the package - it was sealed, so I didnt think there would be any problem exchanging it.

Upon walking in, I got so many strange looks and uncomfortable faces.  Women in the office stared continuously as I talked to Robert (of Weddinglinendirect).  I dont know how they were so shocked someone was in the office.  Apparently, they do not want people to come visit their store, despite the storeroom hours posted.  He said he would not exchange them for me there and I had to pay for shipping.  Shipping was $8.49 (surprisingly expensive for a house 15 min away).  This meant I was to pay $25.47 in shipping 20 chair sashes 3 times.  That DOUBLED the amount for the sashes!!!

I do not want to pay $50 for twenty dollar chair sashes that did NOT match the description or the picture.  Oh wait! I fogot.  They also wanted me to pay a 35% RESTOCKING FEE on top of that! So it would be $60.00 for some cheap quality, wrongly labeled chair sashes worth $20.

    What a scam!!!!!!

    @mistinicole:

Sorry that you had the bad experience.  I ordered from them in 2009 for my daughter's wedding and got what we wanted.  We were looking for different colors than what I could find elseware.  Their shipping was kind of high, but we didn't have a problem.
