I'm a labor day weekend bride too!!
Start looking for a caterer, officiant, & photographer, and if you want, a florist and DJ. Also, have you asked your bridal party yet? Determined your theme/colours?
If you send your STD's by late January you should be fine.
I know I'm forgetting something but those are good places to start. :)

Right now I am working on getting a photographer. Next up is florist and DJ. The venue has in-house catering, so I don't have to worry about that.

Congrats! The venue looks great! I'd say your next steps are definitely photographer then DJ and Video. Florist can come later since they can handle more than one wedding per day. And of course... DRESS SHOPPING!

I just wanted to share that I HAVE A VENUE AND A DATE! I am so excited and anxious.
This is the place I love so much. My mother and I were bickering for days, then we all took some time to think about all of our options. I talked to my parents yesterday, and we all agreed on this beautiful venue. The deposit was sent in this morning!
I'm officially a Labor Day weekend bride for 2011! I have been looking for a photographer, and thinking about Save-The-Dates. What else do I need to do now?
