@Mrs.Boyce: Me too! I've only been searching for about a month now, but I haven't found anything. I desperately do not want that gaudy, reception hall look. I'm only looking to host around 50, so that has added to the challenge.
I don't know as I don't live in the US and I could be way off the mark here, but have you looked at 'The Boathouse' in Central Park. FI and I went there a year ago when we got engaged for a drink and it's gorgeous and a few brides on here have had their reception there.
Bubby's in BK, City Hall Restaurant, Tribeca Grill (the last two don't have a view but amazing city ambience), One of the lofts if you keep your rentals to a minimum. There are tons of boards on budget NYC weddings. Good luck!

Hey Everyone,
I really, really, really, need help to find a reception venue in NJ or NY!. I am looking for a wedding venue that has an amazing view (ocean and/or mountain and/or lake and/or an amazing Garden), with a "Really Nice" interior, and that is a 100 pp (including tax/gratuity). I have been searching for this amazing spot for 3 months, but I can't seem to find anything. I am getting really desprate! And really don't want to have to settle on an "OK" place. I am starting to think that this place doesn't exist. Maybe it doesn't. But I am hoping that someone can please help me with this. Even if you know of a place that is a little more than an 100 pp but has the features that I am looking for, please let me know. Thanks So much everyone. Happy Wedding Planning!
