Any SoCal/LA brides have their wedding in Descanso Gardens in San Gabriel Valley? Or has anyone attended a wedding there? Thoughts on the location?

My dream location! But WAY TOOO much to have a wedding thier ( in my opinion ), you have to pay for location space, all food, you have to have a permit to do certain things, and there are also fees to do some things.Basically you pay to use location then pay pay and pay on top of it.

Great location, but not worth the $$.

If you are looking for that kind of location, you may try the Arboreteum or also the Huntington Library. Oh and maybe even Rogers Gardens near Fashion Island.

I think I figured it was going to be like $30000 just for the venue, food and drink for my 100 guests at Descansco Gardens.

Huntington Library has a "facilities use fee" (ie, catering, etc not included) of $100,000, so it's not really a cheaper option to Descanso Gardens. I looked at their website once early in my planning, fell off my chair laughing, and moved on.

@Frog E.: I saw the fee for Huntington Library and my jaw dropped, lol!. I wish I could afford such a rental fee because it would be a dream venue to get married at but alas my WHOLE wedding cost will definitely be under $100K!

Thank you to everyone for the replies! I've seen beautiful weddings at Descanso Gardens. My fiance and I decided it was a bit too north for us so ended up not considering it. It is a beautiful place though!
