I know this is a lovely topic but I am dirving myself NUTS over here…I am 8 weeks 5 days today and can’t get over my stupid head running wild that something has gone wrong. Anyway, I was nauseous over the weekend on Monday, particularly gagging A LOT, but over the past two days it’s different to the point I’m convincing myself I’m crazy, this isn’t nausea, and I don’t know what I’m talking about…
So, can you please tell me your nausea experience…how it felt, what it was like, etc.
I’ve had friends who had it so bad they were one step away from hospitalization to friends who had absolutely zero nausea, so I’m trying to pull in a wider range of explanation of what nausea can really be like, feel like, etc.

My nausea was constant from weeks 8-12. Basically it felt like I had a hangover 24/7. I never actually threw anything up (just felt the need to puke and then would go make the nasty puking sounds over the toilet and spit) but sometimes wish I could have since I’ve heard the actual throwing up relieves you of the nausea at least for a little bit. Certain smells made it worse (eg. BBQ, smoked stuff, bacon –which is sad because I freakin love bacon) and sometimes one bite of something made it worse.
17 weeks tomorrow and have been feeling fantastic since week 14–no nausea at all. The only time I feel kinda sick is when I overeat

at 4 weeks 3 days, mine comes and goes. At its worst I feel absolutely sick, clammy, and on the verge of losing my lunch. At the other end I feel vaguely nauseated, like a mild case of car sickness. Yesterday I felt pretty normal all day and it made me worry. Today I’m back to feeling it pretty consistently and it makes me feel such relief!

I am 9 weeks so right at the same point as you. My nausea pattern I kinda consistent. I wake in the morning and throw up while I am getting reform work, usually only once. I them feel queasy until 1 ish. Then I will feel ok until 5 or so when the queasiness creeps back in and comes and goes until bedtime. I don’t usually throw up more than that 1 time in the am but there is a rare evening puke. Don’t worry about the severity or frequency of it everyone is different? Didn’t you just have a gorgeous ultrasound ot am I mixing you up with another May mama?
Sorry for the typos, I am on my phone

Oh and I wanted to add…if you nauseous all the time and then all of a sudden it disappears and you feel great…don’t freak out! It will probably come back 🙂 haha I had a few days here and there where all the nausea would go away and I thought something was wrong and was super anxious about it…and then BAM it would be back full force the next day.

I had it in my first trimester and it comes and goes. I could usually tell it was coming; it wasn’t like a spontaneous eruption. I would get set off in the bathroom, after a heavy/large meal or on a very bumpy/windy road (regardless of whether I was the driver or not). Even if I felt sick at my desk at work, I definitely had enough time to make it to the bathroom at work and run into a stall. I would consider carrying bags (e.g. doggy poop bags) in your car because that’s easier than pulling over safely and hurling on the side of the road.
Sometimes I would just gag and dry heave; sometimes it would be actual throwup.

10 weeks tomorrow. I am nauseous all the time, even taking Diclegis. I throw up around 2-4 times a day still, usually triggered by smell, getting too hungry or having a tummy full (I’ve thrown up full meals within 3-5 minutes of eating). I gag/retch a lot. It is miserable. I am hopeful in the next few weeks it goes away– I’m losing my mind being so sick.

Unexpected projectile vomiting, constant tummy ache feeling, terrible tummy pains, random moments lasting about 2-3min of actually feeling human again but mostly feeling like I have a constant hangover. Puking up water is now my new favorite, like I literally cannot drink water. I feel it go down and then it just comes right back up, usually still cold, gross yes but I’m trying to be specific for you. I’m now 13 weeks and things have not settled much. According to my doctor 99.9% of your weird feelings are a result of pregnancy, that little bloppy thing in there can sure make an impact!

I had GERD from weeks 3-5, then general stomach upset, burpiness, and gross feeling from weeks 5-7. A few times I was gaggy and off my food, but mostly it was the “upset stomach” type of nausea. Today, at 7.5 weeks, I actually felt my gorge rise (that is to say, I felt that nauseated tension in my neck like I was going to puke) and threw up for the first time. Yaaayyyyyy.

It was a constant feeling that I may throw up at any moment. Almost like the worst hangover every day. Anything and I mean anything would make me gag.

@TheNewlyMrsD: For most of my first trimester, it was just a consistent queasy feeling in my stomach, with pretty frequent waves of nausea throughout the day where I thought I might throw up if I stood over the toilet long enough. I’m 17 weeks now and still get some random waves of nausea, but no longer have the constant queasy feeling. The waves almost feel like a hot flash, it just comes on really quick and lasts just a few seconds. I have noticed in the past week or so that I’m more gag prone. I can’t even cough without gagging.
Don’t worry if your symptoms come and go. I was in nausea hell for the first 8 weeks and all of a sudden it completely went away for a week and a half. I worried. Instead, enjoy feeling better because it might come back! Mine did!

At just over 5 weeks I’m not feeling much of anything… Tingly boobs, tired and slight cramping but no nausea. Im almost wishing it would come so I could stop worrying.

I’ve experienced so much of it by now that you think I would know how to answer this. For me, especially at the beginning, I had sort of a black hole pit of hunger. I would wake up in the middle of the night absolutely starving. I was so hungry that I felt sick. Other times my blood sugars would drop and I would have my regular shakes and low BP and need to lie down. Other times I would be constantly on that edge of feeling like I needed to vomit, without anything actually coming to give me relief. Sometimes I would feel very much like I needed to eat because my body needed it, but all thoughts of food were repulsing me and turning my stomach. Then there’s the “smelling something that smells bad to me right now” kind of nausea. Then there’s the “I ate something I always eat and normally like but it doesn’t agree with me anymore and I’m going to be sick” feeling of nausea. Anyway, there’s lots. I had them all. I assume it was mostly my body reacting to hormones.
When I did finally vomit I went from 0 to 100 in maybe a few minutes and it was completely projectile and somehow got in my eye.

Mine started at exactly 7 weeks as gagging only. I would feel “off”, similar to the carsick feeling which would then prompt me to have to gag. However, after gagging a couple of times the feeling immediately would vanish only to reappear later that day. I never had constant nausea, I guess I was lucky in the sense that after I either gagged or threw up I instantly felt better for a few hours after. After a couple weeks of just gagging, I actually threw up some as well. I only actually threw up in the early mornings (threw up bile) or within a few hours after dinner. Morning and evenings were when my nausea was the worst but I would also have a few gagging episodes during working hours. I know a lot of people say it clears up after the first tri, mine lasted a bit longer and actually got worse (more frequent and more throwing up) around 12-18 weeks, then finally started to taper back off to just gagging and I have now made it a week and a half without gagging/nausea anything, I’m 23 weeks now.

I’m only six weeks but from four weeks the nausea started it wasn’t until last week it kicked in hard core and a lot of gagging and overwhelming nausea, mine is brought on by any super flavorful food or smells and if I don’t eat first thing in the morning. basically all my stomach can handle is the sun chips and crackers, sucks.
