I’ve had a bit of a play with designing our invites but cant decide which one we should use (typical boy is leaving it up to me hahaha!). Problem is they are just so different gah. Long story short, inspiration comes from our venue which was built in the 1800’s, my dress/veil and the fact that we’re from Strayla (Australia)
If you wanna get a feel for our venue/theme feel free to stalk… there is a thread on the themes page i posted that has all the goodies. any hoo
Any ideas on design improvement or justification on why is warmly welcomed.
Invite 1 (rustic/aussie/modern)
Invite 2 (art deco inspired)

I like the art deco design. It’s very interesting!

You designed those!? Wow, they are both so great! I like the second one just slightly better but you can’t go wrong with either.

Both are really beautiful. Very cute about the awkward dancing. My pick is Art Deco, indon’t like the Kissing poem on the rustic one.

I like the second one VERY much, but I can’t help to feel that all the text is slightly off center? Or at least it’s visually off center.

I love the art deco ones! Great job on both, though!

I think the second one has more personality to it, but I’m wondering if there are too many fonts going on? Instead of the “and” at an angle, what if you chose an interesting ampersand (&) from one of the more scripty fonts?
Also, it looks to me like there is a period after Saturday–should it be a comma?

@lina010: Lol thanks! Interesting is what Im going for… 🙂
@tksjewelry: Thankyou! I sure did! Cant believe it! Took Aaages to find the fonts i liked etc but once i did it was easier than I thought 🙂 (etsy was a great inspiration too lol)
@CurlyCue: Thanks! Yeah the poem is a bit off for me too. Just couldnt quite make it sound right and put in what i wanted which was a bummer. Guess trying to invidualise it to us was a bit of a face plant lol.
@CakeyP: My thoughts too.. I was trying to use the rulers but i think i stuffed up… Lucky my other half is a Signwriter!! He will no doubt be the one doing the tweaking.. I am by no means a proffesional at this thats for sure!
@annb9: Thankyou! 🙂
@whitemochi622: DOH! Yes! Thanks for the pick up on the mistake! My Bad!! I like the idea of using an ambersand instead! Why didnt I think of that?!?! Really appreciate the feedback. You’ve been a life saver!

I really love the art deco version – I think it might be neat to use an ampersand instead of the word “and” between your names – you could make it another art element on the invite (it may be “too much” but I love things like that!) 🙂
You did a really beautiful job!

I vote the second one, I read the poem like 4 times like…wha? lol I didn’t get it but now I do and it’s fun I guess, but a little awkward lol.
Your names really “go together” if you know what I mean 🙂 They sound super cute!

@wifey2be: I like the design of the first, but wording of the 2nd

@whitemochi622: just changed the ‘and’ to an ‘&’. Looks a thousand times better! thankyou so much!
