All I can say is RESEARCH the place BEFORE you order!

I went to one of these sites and ordered a replica of an awesome Martin McCrea dress. The pics on the web site (Gioavonni’s Bridal Boutique) were awesome, the reviews were glowing. So I ordered.

When I finally got my dress, I actually cried. It looked dumpy, and completely lacked the lace overdress it was supposed to have. It was uncomforable and had beading and sequins that I did not want! I hated it! I finally found another dress and ended up donating the replica to Salvation Army. Had I checked with the BBB first, I would never have ordered from them as the BBB gave them a rating of F!

I sure there are reputable businesses that make lovely knock-offs. But don’t waste a lot of money like I did – DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE ORDERING!

I tried on dresses from $400-$5,000!!!!!  What I found was that many of the less expensive gowns WERE “knock-offs” of the more expensive ones.  I wasn’t looking for any particular style or designer, but just stumbled upon alot of the same designs.  If you know the stlye you’d like, you might want to have the dress made.
