Has anyone bought their dress from online that make designer knockoffs? I love the Nicole miller jc0001 dress and the Monique lhuillier scarlet and Miranda dresses, but cannot afford the real thing as they are $3000 – $4000 and up! I have found them on a few sites from china that make them supposedley almost the same and was wondering if anyone out there have done this? And what was the outcome? The site I’m leaning towards is Hanks Bridal! But I cannot finda any reviews fotherein work? Has anybody used them? Thank you for any answers as I really need help!

I’m having a local seamstress make mine. It’s $1500 which is still not cheap but her work is amazing and it will be made specifically to fit me (so no alterations needed). I did look at a couple of those sites but I was just too worried that something would go majorly wrong and I would not like the dress so I figured the difference in $1500 and dress +alterations for site was something I could live with.

On the right hand side of the screen, you’ll see a Search box. Type in Hank’s Bridal and see what other brides have said about it. I don’t know much about knock-offs, but I see Dressilyme and Jasmine’s Bridal come up a lot in the forums.

Jasmine’s Bridal (in China) is making mine. I haven’t gotten it in yet, but I searched all over and couldn’t find any negative reviews on them. The pictures they’ve sent so far look FABULOUS and they were extremely patient with me throughout the whole process. Here they are on facebook http://www.facebook.com/JasmineBridalShop?sk=photos

Nicole Miller has a lot of designs under $2000….some even under $1000 I think!

Can you please post photos of your finished dress. I’m thinking of useing jamines bridal and I want to know your thoughts and see your dress. I really want an Elizabeth Fillmore dress but the one I want is the Thalia and the only price I could find on line is over $8,000. Can that be right?
