Okay, so on July 4th I officially got engaged and I am so excited.  This is the 4th ring I fell in love with.  Luckily, the other rings did not work out for various reasons like my FI waited to order a custom piece and the girl who had all of my choices/preferences moved onto another job - that man of mine!

Well, I am happy now because this is my perfect ring.  I chose this post title because I found this ring in my hometown and fell in love.  It was at a specialty jewelry store and was wayyyyyyy out of our price range at over $15,000.  However, I was not going to give up.  So, I asked about the collection and then jumped on the web and located the company that made the ring.  Luckily, they were only 1 -2 hours away and we drove to check it out in person the next day.  But, even if they were across the country I would have ordered it because I already knew what it looked like on my finger. 

Guess what?  The company sales ring mountings and we chose our own center stone.  The ring mounting itself was a fraction of the cost - and I mean a fraction (less than 1/5 the cost at the first place).  And, they set the stone that we chose for only $100.  I was not a part of that process, but I know my FI chose it and had it shipped directly to the company. 

I am so happy with our choice.  If I can find my camera cord, I will update with another photo showing the ring on my finger.  I LOVE IT!

Okay, so I could only post the mounting, but I will keep trying.  I forgot to add that the TOTAL cost with the center stone is still well under 1/2 the cost of the ring at the original place.  Hooray!
