Its just a show. Watch it if you enjoy it but if you can't stand to then don't. :-)
I understand how these shows can seem so real & are really fun to watch, though!
@fvsoccer: Lol, yes, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I'll agree with you, it was kind of getting blah right around that time in the show. Buuuut, w/o giving too much away, it does get better, and both of the issues that are bugging you, DO get resolved. You just need to stick it out through to the current season that just ended this spring. Trust me. Also, there are a few long-running, multi-season story arcs that are tied up at the end of the most recent season. But of course, they left us wondering with a few new ones, lol.
And like @Mrs.Estep: said, it's just a show, throw in the towel if you feel like it. I've given up on lots of shows that just weren't doing it for me anymore. But I'm addicted to DH, and I couldn't if I tried. It's one of my guilty pleasures :)
On a side note, I WILL be tuning in to TNT next year to check out the reboot of Dallas. Looks to be a great continuance of the original. With a few original cast members, as well as Jesse Metcalfe(Gaby's gardener boy-toy), and Brenda Strong (Mary Alice Young), fyi.

So Hive,
I have come to a crossroads and need some sage and heartfelt advice. Here is the issue: I don't know if I want to keep watching Desperate Housewives. eek. I said it. Here's the reason. I am in the middle of the 4th season, and things have gone rather far south IMO. There is one GLARING issue, or maybe two, that are rubbing me wrong and I need to know if there is light at the end of the tunnel.
First, did anyone else have a HUGE problem that Bree is divorcing Orsen or making him turn himself in for attempted vehicular manslaughter, but that she covered up for Andrew when he actually did achieve vehicular manslaughter? I can't stand that the writers are trying to make that one inconsistancy work.
Second, it drives me nuts how many times the people on that show are like "we can't afford X" or "that's too expensive, we could lose the house" and crap like that. For example, how come Mike and Susan are so strapped for cash now, did Susan stop illustrating and they are relying on Mike's salary alone??? It's crazy!
So, I know this is all fantasy and I could devote my time to better pursuits, but it is my escape and so, should I keep going or throw in the towel now? What did you do, are you still watching? Plus, it came to instant netflix, so it is not like I have to rent it or wait for a DVD in the mail...
