My name is Silvia, I was married in 2004 and my photographer, Justin Haller from PCH was my photographer. Well, from what I understand this man left many women hanging, including me. After three years of my pestering, he finally was man enough to at least tell me which photo lab had my photos and the album I had paid for.
Thank god they still had my photos and album!! I just recieved the completed album this past week!!!! FOUR Years Later!!! Anyhow, along with my photos, I received the originals in digital format.... AHA to my surprise I also received digital photos for another bride. I am assuming she was also one of Justin's customers.
The gentleman at the photo lab told me he had no idea who the bride was and did not make any effort to find out… I thought what a horror for this young bride. So here is what I do know about the bride, or what I can gather by looking at her photos:
The photos are labeled “Sally + Lauren"
The properties of the photos say they were created in March of 2006. The bride is blond, groom is tall, has dark brown hair. She had 7 bridesmaids, they all wore tan dresses in different styles. The maid of honor was a young black woman with a tattoo on her chest. The bridesmaids are all holding red flowers and red boutonnières for the men. The best man has a long hair in a ponytail and a goatee. The groom wore 2 small white calla lilies. The bride wore a simple white strapless gown with buttons down the back. She wore her hair half-up, half-down.
They had an outdoor wedding in what appears to be the courtyard of a hotel. In one of the pictures the couple is under a flowered (bougainvillea) arch and there is a blue sign nearby that says “PCH club”. When I do a search of PCH Club, it comes back to the Best Western Golden Sails hotel in Long Beach and many of the pictures on their website look like those on this brides photos.
So my investigative skills tell me they were married at this hotel. Also many of the pictures are taken on the beach and I can see a very long, long pier in the background. I am going to try to contact their catering department to see if they will contact this bride for me…but in the meantime…can anyone help????? I have her pictures and it is a darn shame that no one cared enough to find her….it’s not that hard. I promise I will find her…. Because I can only wish that someone would have done it for me…
Here's a couple things I've done..
posted on all local boards on theknot.com
emailed the hotel
emailed the creators of this website
posted on the local boards on this website.
good for you! I know I would be so appreciative if that were me.
Wow, that is so sweet of you for doing this! When you find her, she will love you! How terrible that you had such an irresponsible photographer though.. good luck in your search. The world would be a better place if there were more people like you.
How very awesome of you to try and find this bride! Have you tried this site: http://ifoundyourcamera.blogspot.com/. While its not quite like finding a camera, maybe you could scan a photo and put a caption of how you were mistakenly given her photos, etc.
Good luck!
I would also post this on ProjectWedding.com, there are a ton of California brides on there.
Consider calling your local paper/news-- maybe they would run a photo of her! What a sweet thing you're doing.
Am I the only one who wants to know if this bride was ever found?! Gosh I sure hope so!
I would definitely contact the venue- seems like they should keep a record of who got married there. Good luck finding her! What a kind act!
You are so sweet to make it a goal to find out info about the bride and groom! To think they went through the same heartache you did and never got their pictures back.
Keep us updated !
i think contacting the local newspaper would be a great idea. perhaps she already dropped the subject and rendered it a lost cause, and wouldn't be checking wedding websites. actually, both would be a great idea. what a wonderful thing you're doing .. i would've done the same, and i'm so so happy you got your photos!

not sure if you seen this yet.
You are doing the right thing and that is sooooo awesome:)
It sounds like the project wedding reviewer is the blonde bride this poster described, maybe someone has the contact for this poster, she said she contacted th site admins, Mrs. Bee, Mr.r Bee, Penguin? It would be awesome if they have already found each other but maybe an admin could contact the poster?
Does anyone know what happened with this????? I'm dying to know if she found her!!
Hello all,
It'a a year later, and I have not been able to find the bride. I found where she was married, but I was advised that they purged all their files and have no info on the bride. What a shame. Maybe one day we'll find her.
Maybe you could post the details you have and one of the pictures of the bride and her groom? Then maybe one day someone who knows her will see her here and tell her!
I know someone's suggested it, but I can't imagine this would linger for more than a few days if you posted it on the local evening news. Plus I think it'd make for a good human interest/mystery/consumer reports item.
try craigslist & post a pic of them! i really hope you find them!! If you want to PM me a few of the pics, I'll see if there's anything I can do. I've been searching online too to see if I can help.
If you drop me a private message, we could coordinate potentially publishing a few of the pictures on the Weddingbee frontpage!
Wow! You deserve a medal... you are such a sweet & dedicated woman! I really hope you take Mr.Bee up on his offer & I really, really hope this woman is found :)
I just emailed a bridal show in long beach, ca for you. I asked them to help & copy/pasted your note. I really hope this bride lives in the long beach area because if they offer to help, I'm sure SOMEONE will find her!!
That is so noble of you to want to track her down! What a great story, I hope you find the photos' rightful owners. Keep us posted!
So sweet of you-- Hope you find her!! keep us updated!
Wow....you are really a saint for making all the effort to do this. Good luck and keep us posted!!!
I have a blog that gets almost 200,000 readers a month, mostly women across the U.S. If you want to send me one of the photos, I'll post one on my site and see if anyone knows her.
I think it's great that you're making the effort to do this!
What about tweeting the pic and asking people to re-tweet? If you have friends with a lot of followers then you migt get some milage off that! Or try sending it to Consumerist.org they love this stuff!
wow, good for you!! I think posting a picture would help...
Ladies,
It's been two years since I first posted my quest to locate this bride. Recently, I decided to see what Justin Haller was up to these days. I found listed in Spokane, Washington with a thriving wedding photography business! In fact, he is listed on this website with his new business name and two ladies posted positive comments. It's a darn shame how he duped so many of us in California. We will leave the reckoning to God. In the meantime, I'm gonna give it a shot and try to contact him at his new business. Maybe he has changed his ways and will remember something. My main concern is to find this bride, even if it means opening an old wound. Wish me luck!
It might be a long shot but maybe you could check out the public records for 2006 in Long Beach to see if you come up with any leads there.
Wow... you are still at it after 2 years:) Can you run a search for marriage licenses for that date and see what comes up, they are public record so basic info should be available.

Good luck!!!!
Ladies,
You are not going to believe this...so not only does he have a new business in Spokane, but he uses some wedding photos for a bride who claims he lost her photos! HOLY! The nerve! She is the bride who aCountryCowgirl thought was the bride I am looking for. I would love to let her know she is on his website, I am sure without her permission. This just keeps getting better....
Hahaha Omg this is insane! How come this guy isn't in jail for fraud or something?
