    Hi all -

I'm new to the website but I've been watching it for a couple months now and could really use some help!

Fiancee and I are set to wed in Floriday Memorial Day Wknd 2010, on the beach, with an intimate outdoor reception immediately following the ceremony.  I'll be wearing the following Nicole Miller dress.  My bridesmaids and MOH will be wearing the following Cypress colored dresses from JCrew in different styles. The Groom and Best Man will be in cream-light tan linen suits.  We haven't decided on shirts/ ties yet.  This is part of the reason why...

I love green.  It is my favorite color, which is why my girls are in the cypress dresses (the color also flatters each of them!) but I cannot decide on another color.  I'm definitely using a cream color in the flowers and decor as well, but want another color.  According to the colorwheel, the most complimentary color would be a purple, but I am not a fan.  I love blue and pink.... and each of them looks fabulous with green.  Please help!  I have seen so many options in each color.  Aqua, dark blue, pale pink, hot pink... Agh!

    Advice?!

    - Am

go with green.  I love the  combo of pink and green.  With the ivory, it will be gorgeous.  You can also throw in a nice pale gold or champagne as another accent.

I like a pale pink with a green, it's trendy right now but also works with your local, a beach wedding can really have that miami color scheme :o) Good luck!!

I love the way blue and green go together.  I would personally go with a deep navy, which would make the cypress really pop.

The pictures wouldn't attach... and I see that the links did not come through either.  Sorry.

P.S. Check out the Inspiration Board Gallery.  I just found

    This one by Whitesonnet:

    And This one:

I know neither of them are quite as vivid as your cypress, but I think they're a good place to start.  Good luck!

Erin - You don't think navy would overwhelm the green and cream on the beach? Actually, as I'm writing this... I'm loving that idea! :-)  Thanks for the boards - I saved them both.

Ladybug/ Dsuhornets:  Thanks so much for the advice!  I apparently posted this twice and the links were on the other post, btw. On the other post, a member reminded me about pale pink peonies and I think they'd be beautiful, too!

Such great advice... it's still going to be a difficult decision.

I like either light aqua or pale pink with green. it would be kind of cool to pick up the color of the ocean in your accent colors, but pale pink peonies are hard to turn down.

I don't think navy would be overwhelming.  Since it's a beach wedding, you'll already have some blue in both the sky and water.  I think it could provide a good anchor for the green and tan/cream/sand to pop.

I want to thank everyone again for all the help!  My MOH and I took a trip to the fabric store and decided on cream (like my dress), cypress green (like the maids' dresses), bright navy, and minimal accents of hot pink.  I'm very happy with the colors together!
