We used Eggplant from LinenTablecloth and it matches perfectly to DB’s Plum. I know you said you would want to use different shades of purpled but the color is fabulous. LinenTablecloth does not have long Eggplant tablecloths for round or rectangular tables, just the overlays. We are using Eggplant runners on our round tables, and overlays on the rectangular tables.

I don’t know if I helped any, but just wanted to let you know that Eggplant matches perfectly to DB’s Plum.

I ordered a sample in the antique gold. The tablecloth was so beautiful! Then, they sold out of that color a month later when I had to order 20. 🙁 I just wanted to throw that site out there because the linens were so pretty.

Sorry, didn’t mean to abandon the thread…

Here is the Eggplant/Plum against white. I don’t think it looks brown but I also don’t know what your venue looks like. I looked at several linen websites and had a hard time picking a shade of purple. I ordered samples from LinenTablecloth and the Eggplant is beautiful!

@laurenking28:  I don’t know what your budget it, but check out prestigelinens.com as well.  They have really nice linens for sale, but are a little more expensive…

If your venue is rustic and you are using different hues of purple, you may consider a lighter shade of purple.  Any darker shade will look black/blue/brown in shadows. I assume your venue will not be brightly lit for the reception.  You are more than welcome to check other weddings that have lower lighting and see what I mean.  If you can see the color, then the facility will be better lit.  If you have a planner and linen visability will be a factor for you, ask about lighting.  The purple from linen table is a true purple…deep, rich.  And it blends well with different hues.  My last 3 events have had purple in them and they work wonderful.
