(Closed) Dessert and Cupcakes. Too much?

There is never too much dessert! We just decided on monday to skip the cake because the cakes we were having as a late night snack were 10000x better then the cake!

Omg blackberry cobbler!!!! Yumminess.

You could give out little boxes so people coudl take their cupcake home. But really, nobody’s forcing them to eat a cupcake–they can grab one or not, so I don’t think it’s a big deal to offer both.

My venue also offered dessert as part of our package-creme brulee. I decieded to have a dessert selection of cupcakes, creme brulee and ice cream truffles. Then guest can have a choice. We are having 1/2 cup cakes and1/2 creme brulee and the truffles come on the side.

@mamasita, wow that seems like a lot.

You could do the white paper bags that is food safe. They’re usually lined–you can buy them at Michaels for super cheap. This way they could take them home in a bag ? (like the donut bags at the grocery store….)

Can you offer your guests those small wax lined bakery bags?  I know they are not as sturdy as boxes, but at least your guests can take a cupcake with them if they want.

I totally agree, there is no such thing as too much cake. We’re having a dessert served with our dinner and then a sweet and savory buffet at 11pm. I love dessert. I can’t help it! We bought chinese food take out containers from cudge.net for people to take leftovers and we’re also going to stamp some plain brown paper bags or whatever from the dollar store 🙂

Haha, I actually do think there is such a thing as too much dessert, but you’re in the clear!  This sounds like the perfect amount of food, and of variety.  And speaking personally, if I was a guest at your wedding, I would be unbelievably jazzed about blackberry cobbler with cinnamon ice cream!  YUM!
