How late do you expect the reception to go?

As desserts and snacks go, these look good.  The candy looks a little chocolate heavy, but very diverse and delicious!

I’d nix the cocktail weenies, and swap the veggies with fruit to keep with the dessert theme. Maybe add mixed nuts instead of just peanuts.

@babymakes3:  +1 on the fruit.

What are you doing for beverages? A sparkling cider toast would be nice since I’m assuming no alcohol. Are you doing a cake or cupcakes?

I think a dessert reception sound lovely, especially since I have a bit of a sweet tooth!

I think you should keep the cocktail sausages and the veggies and dip – I know it’s supposed to be a dessert reception, but those are probably the only things on the menu I personally would eat, as I don’t have a very sweet tooth.  I do think it’s wise to have at least a couple of savoury items.
