Have you booked anything yet? If not, I would suggest you go the all inclusive resort route… They did all the planning at no extra charge and the planners are employees of the hotel, so they were not trying to jack up the prices, and they had to do a good job to keep the hotel’s good reputation and get more clients.

It made things really, really easy for us – easier than planning a wedding at home.

Did you ask your resort if they had an on-site wedding planner since you are obviously having your ceremony and reception on their resort?  They must have a person in charge of helping you coordinate a wedding.

I see. Is there anyone that the beach club can recommend since I’m assuming they’ve had other weddings there right? Things will run more smoothly if the WC is familiar with the venue. Or ask other vendors (ie. photographer) you are booking who they recommend.

If you go with an all inclusive resort, the wedding planner comes with the wedding package. It really does make things much, much easier.

Can you try http://www.destinationweddings.com? They are travel agents/wedding planners and they don’t charge you. They require a $50 deposit that goes towards your wedding package.
