I’m doing a destination elopement. The whole thing, minus the destination, is a secret. And that’s only because I had a LOT to gripe about when I found out the requirements of getting legally married in Italy. It will be the two of us, the photographer, an interpreter and a random witness.
I’m not sure if anyone has done this, but how long do your elopement photographs take? We plan to stay 5 minutes (by walking) away from the castle we are marrying in. The ceremony takes 20-30 minutes. I would like to get a few of the dress on the hanger, shoes, rings, and of me in the dress, first look, walking to the castle, ceremony, and after. My hair and face will be done by the time the photographer comes to me. I thought maybe 30 minutes of the dress, few bridals, and first look. Then walk to the castle and go from there. Is 3 hours too long or too short, do you think? All I’m worried about is capturing the romance between us.
Also, since we’re doing it in a small town in Italy, everything is close together. We would walk 3 minutes into a town. Then 3 minutes will take us to the countryside.
