No but I would love it!!

One thing though if you have older or sick guests then high altitude, especially if they are from sea level areas, may make them miserable. Skiing is great and usually the areas are gorgeous! Also I would consider if its in somewhere like the Rockies how you get to the resort, I know the one time I went skiing we almost didn’t get to go because the ONLY pass was snow blocked. But I think it would be an awesome destination especially since you are so used to the beach.

The ski resorts here are gorgeous!  Vail is lovely and Beaver Creek has is going on…I would stay away from Aspen, it’s a totally ridiculous place.

I haven’t attended one…but I seriously thought about having one!  I love Colorado, hiking, and skiing.  I would go!!  When do you want to have it?  I would just make sure your guests get there a few days early, so they have extra time in case of any weather (I assume they would).  My favorites are Breckenridge and Vail.  I’ve actually never been to Beaver Creek but I’ve heard good things.

Also, Dunton Hot Springs might be an option, that’s a resort in Telluride.  A ghost town converted into a resort..so amazing!

@Ana_Steele58:  Well being in Utah, ski resorts are pretty common!

I would go to http://luxemountainweddings.com/blog/ (my favorite wedding blog ever)

search by Location on the right, then pick a place.  There will be a lot at ski resorts, summer and winter.

Sundance Resort in Utah is pretty posh!  Go to UtahBrideBlog.com and seach for Sundance Resort.  They have several venues.

We’re having a wedding at a ski resort in PA in August, BUT we viewed it in December and it was amazing!  We almost moved our wedding date to have a winter wedding.

This is it:

It’s beautiful, lots to do and affordable.

Look up Mrs. Champagne, one of the bee bloggers.  She had a mountain winter wedding.  Smile

I’m having a ski wedding on march 3, at sol vista basin in Colorado, it is MUCH more affordable than any of the other resorts in the area (ski weddings r not cheap!) I pinned a bunch of venue options on my Colorado wedding board here: http://pinterest.com/razzelberry/colorado-wedding/ and there r lots of other boards there with ideas for a ski themed wedding.  I’ll probably be posting a bunch of things about the wedding in march/April on my personal blog too http://razzelberry.blogspot.com so check back later!
