@blessedbethebride:  what kind of insight are you looking for exactly?? where are you planning a destination wedding? many places in the caribbean operate on “island time” and don’t often respond as quickly as you may be used to, and 48 hours really isn’t that bad. If you want immediate responses, a destination wedding might not be for you, because while planning may be easier in many ways, i think it requirtes more patience.

lots of places have wedding packages at the resort with a planner on hand that can work with you via phone/email to have the wedding you are looking for. or you can do it yourself by looking up planners in that area on your own or even contacting seperate wedding vendors.

if you know where you are planning on going, other bees may have more  specific advice…

You could have a small Disney wedding 🙂 The memories package is up to 15 guests, which includes you and your future husband.

And yes, it takes quite a bit of patience to hear back from a wedding coordinator. However, they are often quite organized — with managing different weddings/events throughout the year.

As @Cynderbug said, you can do a Disney wedding. But the Memories collection that lets you have 15 peopke is only at Dsney’s Aulani resort in Hawaii. In Florida, you would be limited to the couple and 4 guests.

We did a Disney wedding and got the Escape collection, which is up to 20 people including the couple.
