I'm sure they'll do a great job! just trust them to do their magic :) This is the beauty of a DW - saves you a lot of little trips, when you know you're going to pick the double chocolate (or whatever your poison may be!)
I think she meant before the wedding. She can't travel there before the wedding.
If that were me, I'd first ask the baker what flavors they do have. Then I'd pick the one that can best accommodate the masses. I wasn't able to taste the cake either, so I went with a white cake with vanilla custard and fresh strawberries. I think more people would like that more than something like, espresso mocha or something trendy like that.

We are having a destination wedding at the Marriott St. Kitts Resort. We can't travel there for the wedding so I can't do a cake tasting?
