We're getting married in Estes Park too! :) Try Julie McGehan Photography - she's based out of Boulder, but has a house in Estes & loves to work up there. She is SUPER nice, really wants to get to know you both, is very professional & extremely talented.
Hi There!
I am a local photographer and available in August. Would love to chat!
Warmly,
Amanda
Hi there. All I can help with is a photographer. I've known Heidi for years and used her as my photographer for my small wedding. In one word, she's FANTASTIC. If you want to see some of my wedding photos, PM me and I'll send some over! :)
Hi and congrats on your upcoming wedding! I am getting married in Estes Park next month and live about an hour away. It's truly a magical and beautiful place!!
Hair/makeup - I would recommend the Spa at the Stanley Hotel. They do all kinds of weddings there and are really wonderful to work with. You have to book them in advance though - so keep that in mind. Check out the spa services on the Stanley Hotel web page.
Rehersal dinner - if you are looking for something casusal and awesome food - make a reservation at Smokin' Dave's BBQ & Taphouse - it's delish and really, in my expereince, the only casual place in EP worth eating at. It's off the main road and it's where the locals take thier out-of-town guests. Make your reservation early, this place books up and it's not that big. It does have a full bar.
Flowers - you didn't mention flowers, but if you need them call Briggitt at Floral Designs of Europe. She only does weddings and is the nicest woman you will ever meet. fdofeurope.com
Photo - we are using Rich Vossler Photography out of Boulder. He's very wonderful, reasonably priced and a super nice guy. He was recommended to us through our venue. We were also recommended to use Cathcart Photography. Verge Photography is another vendor that is used A LOT in Estes Park, but they were out of our price range. Their photos are amazing. Any of these vendors can be found just by googling them.
Brunch - Dunraven Inn (not the one directly in town, but outside of town) has a cool atmospher, so I have heard. I would stay away from most of the "small" restaurants on the main road, you'll be disapointed in the food. The Stanely Hotel also has a lunch menu and that might be a nice option for brunch. Otherwise, I recommend google Estes Park restaurants and check out the reveiews on Tripadvisior.
Video - we did not hire a professional videographer, but here's a list of some that were recommended to us:
Mares Video Productions, they are the cream of the crop! Lisa Mares 303-918-7725, Castle Rock www.maresvideoproductions.com
Colorado Digital Video, these guys are in Estes, Angie Sickler 877-286-4017 www.coloradodigitalvideo.com
Lupher Arts, Angie has worked with these guys a couple of times and they do nice work. Contact info is 303-949-7452 www.lupherarts.com
Bella Capelli was recommended to me for hair and makeup. I just booked them. Christie has been great! A coworker was just in a wedding and Bella Capelli did the hair and makeup. The photos look great and my coworker was very happy with how it turned out.
We LOVED our photography team-Ross and Kammi(husband and wife team) of Elegant Images: http://www.elegant-image.com/index2.php
They were fun, personable, did gorgeous work and were fairly reasonably priced. Guest commented on how friendly they are and I found them easy to work with. Our album is also AMAZING-It has a magazine-style layout with a traditional white leather cover, Please PM me if you would like more details.
We wanted a causal/fun rehearsal dinner and held ours at Gateway Fun Park in Boulder-picture checkered tablecloths, BBQ, sunflowers and bluegrass with guests minature golfin, riding in go karts and playing in the arcade and batting cages. They were very easy to work with and can accommodate any size party (We had over 100, but they can definitely do smaller). Guest still rave about how fun it was and how great the food is. http://www.gatewayfunpark.com/groups/?PHPSESSID=5c7b381f8af9f0a96e727ba78399176d
Brunch at Greenbriar Inn is also a local favorite: http://greenbriarinn.com/home
Ooh and we're having our rehearsal dinner ("Welcome BBQ") at the Lake Estes Marina. There are a lot of activities to do at the lake, and we're having the actual dinner under the pavilion. We're getting our food from Smokin Dave's BBQ.
there is a little italian restaraunt off the main road in estes that we ALWAYS go to when we are there!!! it is right on the river and so delicious(brunch or dinner), mama rosa's or something like that.. and a photographer, sara christine photography http://sarahchristinephotography.com/ she is absolutely a-mazing and is based out of denver i think, not sure if she's booked for your date but she is worth looking into!! also candidapple , http://www.candidapple.com/ , super friendly and great photo's! hope this helps

Hey guys!
So I'm having a very small (10-15 guests) destination wedding in Estes Park (ceremony at RMNP, reception at a local restaurant) later this summer, and I can't wait! I've never been to Colorado but I've seen pictures and it's gorgeous!
Anyway, so now I just need suggestions for local vendors, since it's a bit hard since I can't visit them there:
Hair stylist/makeup artist
Place for a rehearsal dinner
Place for brunch
Photography
Videography
