Destination Wedding in November and Reception in Dec. What theme?

Ok so my fiance are going to Jamaica in November, it will be just us. When we return we are going to have a reception which will take place in December. The Reception site will be decorated for Christmas and theres nothing I can do about that. So should I choose a Christmas/Winter theme or a beach theme for my reception or should I just stick with no theme and go with red? I have the same problem with my invitations and wedding favors! I just cant figure out what theme to go with! Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks!

combine the two? you could use sand dollar ornaments in a vase or hanging from branches/mini trees, or regular colorful round xmas ornaments and ribbon in a box with sand on the bottom as centerpieces. and maybe do some beachy ornaments as favors. you could give the kids beach pails with christmas candies, or maybe fun winter gloves/hats. for the seating cards, you could hang a combination of snowflakes and seashells from branches with people's names on them. maybe for the invitations, do a shell image and outline it with a christmas/wintry glitter for that wintry feel.

it would be nice if you could incorporate pictures/video from your ceremony into the reception, to involve your guests that missed out.
