I don’t understand why the wife would expect that anyone would pay for her hair and makeup to be done, especially if she was not in the wedding party. Sounds like you (or your husband) paid for food for everyone, which is generous. And no one forced them to rent another jetski, that was their decision, and they should foot the bill for the rental and gas, as it was their choice, and they were the only ones who used it.

I would just let things cool down. Enjoy your honeymoon and see how things are with them when you get back. Honestly I might rethink whether they are true friends or not.

Am I reading this right…? So they’re p*ssed because you didn’t pay for absolutely everything the entire duration of their stay? Your wedding was ONE day, where I’m assuming your provided food & drink, in no way should you have been expected to pay for all their food & drink, hairdresser(what!?)and JET SKIS for the whole time they were there! My guests are arriving at our DW around 2 days before the actual ceremony, and I definitely won’t be picking up the tab for their food drink and entertainment on those days, that’s asking way too much, and they don’t sound like good friends to be honest, I wouldn’t waste another minute stressing about smoothing things over on your honeymoon, they are in the wrong.

Cmsatx2014:  ummm what??

“On the wedding day the wife was livid because my maid of honor paid for me on hair and makeup but we didn’t for her.”

Wasn’t it YOUR wedding? She wasn’t even a bridesmaid?? Am I missing something? Why are they expecting everyone to pay for them, because people are paying towards the married couple? I am just completely gobsmacked by this behaviour. I really don’t get it?
