Weddingbee boards
In the past we have tried to schedule meet-ups and they just never seem to pan out. I am determined to make it happen this time! We will have 2 to accomodate schedules if we need to but, darn it! If other people can sucessfully have meet-ups then us North Texas Girls can too!
So, I am going to begin by throwing out a random date and we will go from there. Show does September 10th sound?
I'm available after some vendor appointments. Just let me know when and where and how I can help.
@Darice: Help get people there! I think that is the biggest help anybody can be right now.
Maybe there just aren't that many people regularly checking the local boards? I always forget to. I have tentative plans for that weekend but if I end up being free when you girls have it, I'd love to stop by! I noticed on Hippo's blog that she really wants to have a DFW meetup, also.
@pinkpaperbride: I keep forgetting not everybody is as obsessed with the boards as I am. How do we find everybody then?
You are definitely a busy Hedgehog! I really don't know how to find Dallas people. I guess we can keep trying to bump this thread.

I'd LOVE to do a meetup, but I can't do this weekend unfortunately. How about we pick something later in the month and then I or one of the other blogging bees can post it on the main board?

That week work fine for me. I am available any day of the week, after 4:30, and anytime on the weekends.
I would really like to meet Weddingbee people in the area! I bailed on the last meetup without realizing they would be so scarce. I work until 5pm on weekdays but can be pretty much anywhere in Dallas by 6ish. Weekends are free! Except my sister is getting married December 17 so I'm probably out for the week of the 12th. Is the following week too close to Christmas?
@pinkpaperbride: That sounds like a plan to me! I have almost the same schedule as you. We need to make this happen.
Aw I haven't been around that long but I'd love to meet you guys! I'm getting married on the 10th, so I'll be out on a mini honeymoon 12/11-12/15...but any time after that I'm good!
I'm also pretty new around the boards, but I would love to meet some local bees as well! The week of 12/18 should work for me. :D
Aww. Mr. Hedgie gratuates the 17th so we will be with his parents from AZ. Bummer. Don't reschedule based on me though! If that is when everybody else can do it, then DO IT! Outside of that, the Sunday before (in the PM since I work nights on Sat and will be SLEEPING!) and pretty much any other weekend works for me. Even Weeknights like Mon or Tues but people usually work then... Anyway, let me know what everybody decides!
Oh man... I'm out of town from Dec. 19 until the 25th. I could do Sunday, December 18, but that's it that week. I'm also totally open the week of December 26. Perhaps Monday or Tuesday of that week?
I'd vote for Times Ten Cellar in the Lakewood area... I'm always up for a glass of wine!!

Weeknight happy hour is good for me...the weekends are starting to get a little crazy this time of year.
Depending on the day I can try and make it. We're dealing with a move and trying to pack up so if the day is free I'll make it!

@hippo: Any of those days work great for me! So long as it isn't a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. I work those nights (and sleep those days)
And as for locations, I am in HEB so as long as I am not driving up to McKinney I am fine!
Sorry I just now saw this post, and please excuse the smiley face, I can only make a post if I put one first LOL, but I am available ladies just about everyday except the 17th and 18th....please lets make this happen!!!
I will try my best to make it on whatever day is chosen. I am a two hour drive from DFW, but it would be totally worth it!!!
Evening of December 27th (Tuesday) or 28th (Wednesday)? How would that work for people?
So long as somewhat newbees are welcome, I can do any night the week of the 26th. :) I'm in Plano, but I can easily travel.
I'd prefer for it not to be a Wednesday (on Wednesdays my bridesmaids come over and help me do wedding crafts because they're awesome). December 27th sounds good, though!
I can probably do the 27th! We are considering taking a surprise road trip after Christmas but I'm not sure when we'll decide.
I'll be one of those who will have to say, pick a date and I'll see if I can make it. We're a good hour, hour and a half drive south of the metroplex and we're starting finals, plus flying up to my parents for Christmas than my parents flying down two days later for the bowl game...
