Why would someone abandon a puppy like that?! That is horrible! I hope you find her a home soon!

I hope you called the cops and let them know, or animal control to be on the look out for animal abusers in the area…

@atreyu547:  last night I saw online that a man was sentenced to 10-45 years in prison for torturing and killing 29 PUPPIES that he got off Craigslist!!!!!!!! Idk why people do this to animals ):

People that do things like that are garbage. Seriously, I would probably get flamed for saying what I think should happen to those kinds of people.

That poor thing!  Who could do that to a puppy?  I would contact your vet and see if they have recommendations for rescue groups who could take her in.  A rescue group would be more equipped to handle a puppy that young too.

She needs her mother before 8 weeks, if not atleast nurse her with milk until you can give her away.

@atreyu547:  if it makes you feel better, we recently had to give our puppy up on Craigslist. I would say to interview the people who are interested. We also charged a hefty rehoming fee. My thinking is someone is not on a pay you for a dog that they want to torture, ya know? The people who took our dog still send us weekly pics and emails to let us know how he is doing!!!!! You can weed out the losers if you really try

I would avoid Craigslist– there are people out there looking for bait dogs and you’ve already saved her life once–

Are there any local pet resuces? We just adopted a dog from a rescue who goes into the shelters and pulls dogs out before its too late. Maybe try getting a hold of one and if they can’t help you, surely they should be able to point you in another direction.

Good luck, thank you for taking her in and giving her a second chance!

@Ninteenthchance: did you hear about the couple that gave their dog up on craigslist, then the family that took it in couldnt keep it? they gave it to a 3rd party and that family beat the crap out of it and sliced it’s tongue in half?
