My amazing, brilliant DH has just accepted a job with a management consultancy company and will be required to travel to Switzerland for training for 6 weeks in July.
I am beyond thrilled for him, but obviously am going to miss him!
We have been together since I was 15 (I am 24 this year) and have never spent longer than 2 weeks apart (just when we were teenagers dating). Since we have been living together (7 years) we have never spent more than a night away from each other.
I have no idea what I am going to do with myself! My family will be on vacation in Europe over this time and I have no friends who live locally.
Any suggestions on things I can do to keep myself occupied? I want to enjoy our time away as best I can!

@dannielle89: well im very bored, fancy coming to mexico and keeping me company?! my DH keeps going away for work!
or you could do a course…like a language course,or a hobby course (cooking, pottery etc) ., spend weekends with friends who dont live locally (like a mini break)
any films youve been dying to see but never got around to it? for me its lord of the rings and the matrix!

Try and take Skype dates every night, and use this time for yourself! Get some pampering, exercise, yoga, take up a new hobby, volunteer at the animal shelter, do things you normally don’t have time to do!
BF and I are in between leases so we’re at home at our parents’ houses, and I just started staying with my mom who is an hour away. While it’s not Switzerland, I know what it’s like to be away for a long time! We went from living together to seeing eachother once a week tops with not much warning, so maybe take some solace knowing that it’s coming up to get mentally prepared
