Everyday my husband brings me home junk food and not just any junk food…chocolate! Ugh, this man is going to be the reason my blood turns into sugar. I need self control but I can’t seem to stop stuffing my mouth! I told him that he needs to stop bringing home goodies but he just laughed and said, “why? I know you love them!”
Hurmph! He is deploying soon and is trying to buy out my happiness with sugar love lol

Your husband and mine could be BFFs!
Mine’s constantly like “You should gain more weight! For the baby!”
And I’m like “Me getting fat on cupcakes is NOT going to help our baby!”

lol i was thinking of this post the other day. my DH is gone for work a lot and when he comes back (because he is often isolated) he buys all this great junk food. he will do things like beg me to make dinner AND order deep fried sushi…. then he will make these ice cream sundays… with milk and brownies and hot fudge ugg. i feel your pain! hold in there. 😉

omg my FI is the same…he constantly buys me junk food and he feels so good spoiling me..yet he knows im trying to lose ten pounds and tells me “dw babe i got your back”….chips dont got my back!

Statistically in the First Year of Marriage
(Which both yourself @Payless: & @BrandNewBride: are)
Men eat healthier… and Women less so (richer meals, larger portions & junk food)… as the good traits from one, and the bad traits from the other are shared
The result is that BOTH Partners usually see a change in their After Marriage Weight
Something that actually Doctors say is healthy… because both people are also happier.
The bad news is…
This is a short lived high. Because if women continue down this road, we tend to quickly put weight faster than the guys do… and also have a harder time taking it off.
So women have to very deligent in keeping themselves on track and watching both their intake (calories especially) and maintaining their exercise routines (we tend to get lazy after we get married)

@This Time Round: Very informative!
DH is losing weight because I only cook healthy meals (only paleo and organic meals) but I am gaining due to his silly obsession with giving me treats lol I love him to bits!
