Diamond Question

Diamonds do all kinds of weird things depending on the light and surrounding colors. Does the gray you’re taking about tend to happen in elevator type lights where the stone goes kind of dark and throws a ton of rainbows?

Sounds like cloudy – or otherwise low clarity grade (white and dull) vs. clear (clear with steeliness and brilliance and fire) to me. The dull white may also be fluorescent or poorly cut.

Yup, It just means the clarity isn’t there in the diamond. The lower grade of diamond the less “clear” it is
