Here in California we are finally getting some rain. Luckily with rain clouds comes great lighting for ring pics! I was able to capture this picture of my diamond giving off these wonderful rainbow hues. I didn’t think this was possible in a diamond but I was pleasantly surprised by these colors.
Anyone else able to capture a rainbow flash of their ring?

I made a collage of mine one day, just moving my hand ever so slightly in the light.

@jcent: WOW that is cool!
I don’t have any rainbow pics but saving to come back to this thread.

@jcent: That is awesome. I make my ring go through the full rainbow too, but getting it on camera is straight up sorcery.

@jcent: Is that a diamond? I had not idea that you could get those kind of colors from this type of stone. Most of the rainbow hues I have seen have come from moissanite and I was always so jealous!

My profile pic is one of the best examples I have of the rainbows you can get in the right lighting! This was under one of those spotlights over our table at Hard Rock Cafe!
This was in our truck in the afternoon sunshine:

@Jabberwocky: hahaha, I just kept snapping as I moved it. I had a lot of duplicate colours, but then was happy to see enough for a rainbow at the end. 🙂
@GretaMae316: Yup, it is! Diamond gets the same fire as moissy, but not that crazy disco ball thing the rbs do. They just sparkle in different environments. 🙂
