I’m new here so first of all. Hi all!
I decide to create this thread to show you pics of a diamond ring vs a forever brilliant moissanite ring I just got from moissaniteco.
I did alot of research before deciding to buy a moissanite engagement ring and I decide I would contribute since I have taken so much from all the information out there.
Without any delay here are the pics 🙂 I won’t say which one is which because I’m curious to see what the comments will say!

I’m going to say the diamond is the flower ring. Both are super pretty though! Do you have any closer pics?

I too would say the diamond is the flower but if they weren’t side by side I’m not sure I would be able to tell the difference.

It’s pretty hard to photograph two stones together and show each equally.
I’m saying the flower ring is the diamond because I think the pave solitaire stone’s cut is more flat and splintery. I love them both though, I don’t discriminate 😉
What is your opinion now viewing the two side by side?

hungrypumpkin: You should add a poll! Im going to go with the solitaire is the diamond

Flower ring is the diamond? Plus am not sure MoissyCo has a flower ring. :-p

It’s hard to tell in pictures, but I think the solitaire is the diamond and the flower is the moissy.

hungrypumpkin: I’m going to guess the MoCo ring is the one with the tag still on it. 😉 But seriously, if I didn’t already know that that was a MoissyCo ring, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference! I also have a FB moissy and I love it.

hungrypumpkin: The diamond is in the antique-looking ring. I knew that without even look at the stones.
bbbria: Lol good point.

LOL this was easy for alot of you.
The diamond is indeed the flower ring and moissanite is the one with the side accents (the side accents are real diamonds). I wish I had a prize for the winners but I can only give you this big smile 😀
They are both gorgeous in their own right. My feelings are that the diamond has a more icy cold feeling to it and the moissanite a more warm feeling. I beleive, now that I’ve seen them, 99.99% of people can’t tell the difference between both. I was very skeptic of this but now I beleive this.
In the pics I posted the diamond looks fuller because (I beleive) of the metal flower thingies which reflect on the diamond; that’s why it looks less clear. But I will post some more pics where the moissanite can just look as full with lots of brilliance and many colors :D. Lighting and colour surroundings have a dramatic influence on how the rocks appear in pics.
I am 100% happy with my purchase and I would recommend moissanite to anybody looking for a cheaper alternative to diamonds or simply if they are looking for a spectacular rock. Because make no mistake the moissanite is a precious rock in the same class as diamonds or other precious stones. It took me a while to accept this but now that I have the rock, I am a true beleiver.
The reason I’m saying all this is because I lived the headache that buying an engagement ring can bring (if you don’t have 15000$ buying a diamond can be one complicated process!) and I hope this helps a few people out there.

Diamond is definitely the flower ring.

I’m also thinking about a moissanite ring after getting moissanite studs as a present from my bf as a bridesmaid. I love them, and they are actually prettier than what I inherited from my Grandmother. I just saw this video on moissanite which I thought was pretty cool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkEEmldeIaU
