I am wearing a Maggie Sottero Diamond White dress~ would white flowers look weird with this or make the dress look 'dirty'?  Should I look for a more ivory color in flowers?

My florist hasn't worked with 'diamond white' before.  Thanks!

Which dress? Can you post a picture of it? Maybe someone has worn it and can offer suggestions.

Mt daughter wore Maggie's Ophelia in Diamond White & Champagne, but we used champagne roses.

definitely give your florist a sample of the material and ask her for suggestions...i personally too often think brides carry 'white' flowers, but they tend to look yellow, or dirty like u said...never seems to go. i went with colored flowers for that reason, but i am wearing ivory so my girls have ivory in their bouquets. i def. think it can be done to match...diamond white isnt a pure white though, its almost ivory, so get a swatch and have her do some matching!

Thanks, Krista.  I was thinking about carrying a 'white' and yellow bouquet with lots of greens and then having my bridesmaids carring all yellows with greens just to set the two apart.  I will try to get a swatch ordered!  :)

i think thats a great idea...mix in some other colors so even if its not perfect it will still look great! especially if the base of the flowers isnt white, since that is closest to ur dress, ex) using greens as the 'bottom' and filling in with flowers, or like im using green hydrangeas as my base and mixing in roses, orchids and purple lisianthus. but who knows...i may see my mock up with my dress and decide i want some ivory in there too!!

ohhh, and see if your florist will do this...mine is making my mock-up for me when i go for my 2nd dress fitting, so i can hold it with my dress and analyze and tell her what i think! this would be good for you...ask!!

Here's a link about flowers against various shades of white. Might be helpful!
