I’ve heard that some women just *knew* they were pregnant, just by following their intuition and their body. Have any of you bees had that experience? I try not to get too excited, but my body has felt a lot different the past week or so. AF isn’t due until 7/3, so it’s way too early for me to test. I’m trying not to get my hopes up, but my body definitely feels different here lately.

Hate to be debbie downer here but I’ve totally ‘known’ I was pregnant many times. I have never actually been pregnant.

Nope, I was 100% sure I was not pregnant and then I tested and it was positive. That was one of the shocks of my life.

I had suspicions but I wasn’t sure until I took the tests. I had a strange feeling of “fullness” in my pelvic region. It just felt like there was something there. I never experienced anything like it before and I certainly didn’t think DH and I would be successful this quick at getting pregnant. It was only our first month of trying!

@roweboat: I also don’t want to be a debbie downer, but if you’re not due for a period until about 7/3 and you theoretically have a 28 day cycle ovulating on day 14 (I know I ovulate much later than that, as do a lot of the charters), you’re tops like 5DPO. Which would mean the embyro isn’t implanted yet, and you wouldn’t be secreting pregnancy hormones because you’re technically “not pregnant yet.”
If your body has been odd for a week, it’s probably been the changes that occur right around ovulation. It’s a lot more obvious post birth control and during TTC because we pay a lot more attention.
FX for you though! ; )

@Mrs.LemonDrop: My cycles vary, but 34 is the average for me. It’s probably nothing, but at the same time, I’ve never noticed my body feeling like this either lol. We aren’t really TTC right now, though.

99% sure I was NOT pregnant…I actually went out drinking the night before I tested positive. I think it’s also because the month before we were NTNP and I was sure I WAS pregnant, until AF arrived, so I wasn’t getting my hopes up again. However, I still don’t feel pregnant (besides my growing gut) and am 13 weeks along, so maybe it’s just me?
A number of DH’s friends said they knew the day it happened, so I do think it’s possible though!

For the first cycles trying, I sworn I was pregnant every month, and I just wasnt. Hope your feeling is right for you and that you are ultimately pregnant, dear! FX

@roweboat: I totally “knew” I was pregnant every cycle trying, and was mostly wrong (it took us 10 months to get pregnant and have it stick).

I’m not pregnant, nor have I ever been… BUT talking with my Mom she knew fairly quickly she was pregnant without having to test with all of her pregnancies because of how her boobs felt. She said it felt like all the veins/arteries (idk which one is correct) literally opened up in her boobs and could feel extra blood flowing there. Also she had them show up darker.
But I’m with pp’s it may be too early to tell for yourself. BUT I hope you’re correct! Maybe you ovulated early this cycle!!! 🙂

I was almost certain that I wasn’t pregnant. I had all the usual PMS symptoms and I was waiting for AF to arrive – I was surprised when it didn’t happen.

I was sure I wasn’t pregnant. I bought a box of tampons & a bottle of wine in anticipation of AF since I had the typical PMS symptoms… cramps, bloating, and fatigue.
It wasn’t until a day or so after AF was ‘supposed’ to arrive that I had any inclination that I should probably take a test- I was overwhelmingly exhausted, like TO THE BONE fatigued. I ran 13 miles that weekend and was STILL tired on Monday. Peed on a stick… pregnant.

i knew i was pregnant. my period started every month like clockwork…my period day came and went. i felt cramping (implantation) but no bleeding…my boobs hurt like i had a severe sunburn (which they dont when i get my period)…i was nauseous and had diarrea…i also felt a heaviness or congestion in that area. it turns out i was 5 wks pregnant.
