I’m following this board because I’m going to do the same thing! My wedding is in a month though and I need to do my trial still…I’ll post after my trial with some pics 🙂

I’d love to do bombshell-style pin curls, but i’m having a tough time finding someone that does them.

I followed some youtube tutorials, but didn’t do too well on my own.  🙁

I just had my trial on Friday. It turned out well, she is going to use more product on the day, and she did brush it out (making it the more pin-up style), but my hair being very curly, made some of them go into a spiral curl, even after the brushout. Makeup was done too, but again, will be more bold day of.

Hope this helps!

P.S. please excuse my incredibly crummy phone camera…

Following this thread too as my dream would be to have those long, vintage wave curls

I’m posting so that I can follow this thread too–I’m not getting married until next year, but I was hoping to do something like this too! I just worry that my hair may not hold those gorgeous curls very long…

Any tips on how to make curls last all night without adding so much product that it looks greasy?  [that’s my other worry–some stylists add so much product the finger waves look shalacked on]

@MUAbride2be:  I was going to do this, I even found a hairdresser in my area who only does vintage styling – but she told me that it wouldn’t last very long in my hair (maybe 2 hours) so I’m getting an up-do.

Omg!  I did this and still dream of wearing that vintage inspired hair again. I felt so glamorous.  I only have guest pics (and 1 profess. pic) of the look at the moment , but here is what it looked like.

I recommend finding a real good hairstylist that is experienced and can pull this off. I needed mine to be a dry finger wave since I dislike the gelled look. I say go for it 🙂
