I really love all the beautiful wedding videos I have seen out there, but I really don’t think they will fit in my budget at this point. I have been seeing ads for Wedding Mix on here. For those who haven’t seen it, basically they loan you a couple small cameras for your guests to use and your friends and family can download the app for their phones. Then you send the cameras back and they take all the video footage your guests took from the wedding and turn it into a wedding video.
I like that it’s much cheaper than a traditional wedding video, BUT I am worried about the quality and logistics of it.
I could probably prop them up somewhere during the ceremony, otherwise I have to ask a guest to hold it, which I’d feel bad doing. I’m sure people wouldn’t really mind passing around cameras during the reception because that might be fun. Downloading the app shouldn’t be a problem because I’m sure people will take video on their phone anyway, although I’ve never used the app and I don’t know how easy it is to work. Also is the quality going to be so bad it won’t be worth it? Is it better to have anything than nothing?
Has anyone actually done this? Did it work out okay? Were there any problems? Any advice? Thanks!
