Yeah, I mean, I'd love to be a Bee but know the chance is unlikely so I blog on my own... I really do like blogging for the heck of it! I have a wedding blog and a regular one, and when the wedding is over, I'll probably print out the wedding blog on acid free paper and show it to my kids someday when they're wondering why my wedding looks so 2010. :)

P.S. If you can get together 15 blogs, there's still a chance of being chosen for weddingbee. I was picked with 6 weeks to go and so was Yorkie!
You should just blog for fun... join other wedding blog rings and post your blog here. I got rejected to be a bee... but it's still fun to blog :)

I wanted tobe a bee so badly...I tried 2 times but never got picked. Because I wanted to apply...I created a blog. Now I blog on my own personal blog daily...I have 80 followers and a bunch of "blog freinds"
I think you would be amazed by the community and support that is out there. You don't have to be a Bee to be a blogger! :-)
I would really love to blog about my situations in life ... wedding planning, relationship, etc., but I'm too addicted to WeddingBee. I spend most of my time on this website if I'm on the computer. I too would LOVE to be a bee on here and blog.
I'm with MsHymanRoth. I already have a blog and I still update it regularly (almost every day)... but I spend so much of my time at weddingbee that I lost some interest in my own blog. ;)
I'm new to all of this so will someone please fill me in... how do you become a "Bee" blogger? Who are those who decide whether you can have a blog or not? Why would someone be "rejected" from blogging?
I haven't really looked at any of the blogs (except for Mrs. Avocado) because her dress is a lot like mine and I wanted to get some ideas. I usually just read the boards and just realized that there were a ton of bloggers.

Marigold, I love WeddingBee b/c there's so much going on. I love to be "in the scoop" here ... if I had my own blog it would be so boring for me. I like to see a mass of new stuff and reply/ask/discuss it amongst others.

MsHymanRoth your posts (Ghost Chairs for example) have definitely reminded me of blogs except with much better discussion. I wish you had a blog because I bet it would be tons of fun for me to read!
I'm so addicted to Weddingbee, it's my fav wedding planning site! I can't wait until my wedding date gets closer so I can apply to be a Bee. I'm doing so much DIY and documenting everything with pictures, so I'll be ready. And I've got a list of about 90 potential post ideas, so hopefully I'll get the chance to share them! If I don't get picked though, I'll just fill up the DIY board with all my stuff, so it's really a win-win.
Please share with us your planning and ideas, even if it's just on the boards here!
Definitely make a blog, and tell us where it is! If you have a gmail account, it is really easy to set up a Blogger account (blogspot.com)! And hey, you never know, you could get selected to be a Bee even with limited time left!!! Good luck!

Blog away! It has become one of my favorite parts of the wedding process. And I'm with Cheapwife - I originally started blogging because I wanted to be a Bee. It wasn't meant to Bee (hehe), but I love all my blog friends and followers!! And I love being a Hostess here on the Boards!
Go for it! Just take it one blog post at a time... but you have to start somewhere. You have twice as long as I did when I was accepted... exactly 4 weeks out. Be sure to share a link to your blog so that we can all read about your Colorado wedding plans! :o)

When I started blogging, I wasn't sure if I was going to apply to Weddingbee or not and then finally just sent in the application on a whim. Sometimes I feel as if I don't have much to say either especially since I'm not one of the craftier bees, but you'd be surprised. Once you start writing, you'll be surprised at how much there is to write about.
