OMG. I am from the midwest have neen living in NYC for the past few years, so I've never felt an earthquake before. Scary!!!
Yea, I work a block from GZ so for a few seconds there people were a bit freaked out in our office!!
YES, everyone in my office thought the building was swaying in the wind
Geez! It seems like it must have been huge - people on FB as far south as Baltimore are talking about it :/ I'm more than a tad freaked out
It's an earthquake that's happening in Virginia and sending tremors all throughout the East Coast. I'm in CT and felt them here and hubby felt them in MA
We just felt it in freaking Ohio! My entire office was like, "did you feel that?"
I just felt it here in Mississauga Ontario! Very suttle though! I thought was getting sick or something!
Ohio? Little to close for comfort for me! Especially since FI is getting an emergency root canal at the moment. That can't be good in an earthquake.
@tranquility: Yeah, it was very subtle here. At first I though there was just someone very overweight walking really heavily down the hall or something.
I felt it in Cleveland, Ohio. I am on the 17th floor and the building shook like 5 times. Scary! I'm still a little shook up about it.
I felt it here in London Ontario Canada (about 2 hour drive from Toronto)
Man, all the way to Ohio?? That is INSANE!

Felt it in Harrisburg...was on the patio playing beauty shop with my nieces and my chair was shaking. I thought there was a cat under my chair at first, but it kept going, and there was no cat there.
It happened in Virginia, I work in Columbia Maryland and my whole building was shaking really bad. My FI works in Frederick, MD and he thought it was just their building. I was like NOPE.
Yeah, I am on the 27th floor, and man! That was freaky!
I live in CT and just felt one... and I am so sad because my wedding is sunday and we are getting awful weather :(
People in downtown Pittsburgh collectively felt it, but I did not lol. Shows how observant I am.
Freak flooding in Pittsburgh last Friday, this today, hurricane coming...what the heck?!
Folks in my building felt it. I didn't feel nada. I was too busy reading Weddingbee :)
@sarahbabs:on the 25th floor in midtown and we were really shaking!
@bRooklynRocks: Haha my entire office felt it, as did some of my friends who work throughout Manhattan. FI works in Flatiron district and says he didn't feel a thing.
@hjg0126: I know! My fb feed is full of friends on high floors (one girl is on 51!), and we all felt it My fiance is on the ground with a friend now and neither of them did. Eeek!
Felt it here in Pittsburgh! I was like WTF! Photos fell off of my wall. I seriously thought my house was falling down.
I felt it here in Brooklyn! My husband works downtown by the WTC and his office was totally freaked.
Crazy. It was felt in Denver, Boston, NYC, Ohio, VA....and probably further south. 2012 is coming early!

The walls of my house were swaying and pictures fell and broke. I live near office buildings and they evactuated them all.
Man, it is CRAZINESS to see how far this thing was felt, esp. since the news is saying it originated in Virginia!

Yeah, I felt it. At work. At the apartment. Various other places. Fucking thing broke our TV!!!! GAAAAAH!
eta: the whole building was vibrating and we were all going "wth??!?!?!?!" NONE of us got up to get in a doorway or anything, lol. Yeah, we're bright. ;)
I ate taco bell for lunch and I was thinking to myself "Omg...I knew I shouldn't have eaten that. Now I'm tripping out and everything"
