Fiance and I are fun loving people. I grew up around a family full of photographers. Yet I still get all “weird” when I’m in front of a camera during a professional shoot. I don’t think maybe I show it, but I feel like a total tool.Since e-pics will be coming up soon for us I have been worrying more.
I should be okay when taking them… Fiance is hilarious and can always make me laugh, and one of my friends is taking the pics. But I just can’t shake the feeling I’m going to look awkward, and posed. PLUS everyone on here has gorgeous e-pics, they all look so effortless.
Just curious how many people felt like an awkward tool during your e-pics.

I didn’t feel weird at all, our photographer made me feel really comfortable. Honestly it just felt like I was having fun strolling through the woods with my FI!
Also the e-pic session will give you a chance to get more relaxed infront of the camera so that you’ll feel less stressed about it on your wedding day! 🙂

I felt weird at first, but that soon went away. As long as your photographer is willing to coach I think you’ll be fine.

I did feel really akward as did my Fiance. But I’m glad we did engagement pics. Hopefully we will be more ready for the wedding day.

we both felt weird at first, then loosened up and got some great pics. unfortunately, we felt weird again at the end when our photogs suggested we do ridiculous poses (pretend to hide behind a tree and look at each other!) we couldn’t say no because it was a free session to build their portfolio.

We both felt really awkward; that is why we did them. Just so, hopefully, we don’t feel awkward at the wedding. I normally avoid the camera, unless I am behind it, at all costs.

@Mrs.tobe: I always feel awkward in front of a camera. I’m not (in my opinion) very photogenic and Fiance hates to have his picture taken. Luckily, our photographer is my cousin and super down to earth so she was able to get some amazing pictures of us, but some are still pretty awkward to look at. We’re doing another set of e-pics/family pics (with our dogs) at the end of April so we have a little more “practice” of being in front of a camera before the big day.
ETA: this is why I still haven’t uploaded any of our e-pics to the gallery, or made a post with them…

Our photog made us feel really comfortable, so we werent that worried about it. I only felt weird when people were walking by and looking at us hehe

I really thought that we would feel that way but we didn’t!! Fiance kept making me life and I realized that I love being the center of attention with cameras pointed at me and having to pose. We had an absolute blast! It definitely helped that our photographers are absolutely amazing and fun! I’m glad that we were able to get that experience because I’m not nervous at all for our wedding photography anymore. What may have also helped is the week before our photog did family pictures for my FI’s mom and we were in them so we were pretty comfortable.

Thank for your feedback ladies! And letting me know I’m not alone in my “tool-dom”-lol!
@kitzy: I’m not gonna lie, I chuckled a bit on the tree comment. (and seriously, that’s what I’m worried about!)
I’m also hoping that by the time the wedding day comes I will be so into what’s going on around me and having a good time with my Fiance, family and friends (and mimosas) I won’t even care.

@floridabride12: Aw, I’m sure you looked fabulous! You should post the ones you like, we all make them worse in our own minds than they really are in reality. (or at least I do…)
@HoneyBear: Yeah, looking at you and whispering “check out those tools…” LOL
@Running Elley: I’m slightly worried that because it’s a friend of mine maybe I’m feeling more nervous. Like I don’t want to look like an idiot in front of her?

You will be awesome! Don’t stress. You two are a beautiful couple and there is absolutely there is no way for you to look like a “tool”. Are you taking the bike? Those would be some awesome shots.

Lol I LOVE the title of this post. And I’m bumping it, because I’m afraid we’re gonna feel like tools, too.

@tksjewelry: Definitely want to incorporate the bike.

Yup we felt really weird during ours. But I dont think our photographer really knew what she was doing!
