I definitely got AF symptoms before my BFP. So much so that I didn’t even POAS until I was a day late. I got what I thought were PG symptoms with my two cycles of TTC before and needless to say, those were BFN for me.

Commenting as I’m interested in people’s responses too. I’m waiting for AF and am pretty sure it’s on the way but have a tiny bit of hope!

Op, hope you get your BFP.

I was on BC for a loooong time, but days before BFP I had horrible cramping and thought this was what pre-AF symtpoms felt like.  I also had some big boobs and back pain.  I totally felt like this was a “normal period,” since I never had one unassisted.  BFP 2 days after cramps.

I was 100% sure I was getting AF.  I had my typical cramping and sore boobs and just that feeling that it was going to start any minute.  I cried so hard that day that I asked my Husband to get me a bottle of wine.  For some reason I decided to test before I drank any, and I got my faint BFP. So you honestly never know, I had way more of the strange pregnancy symptoms when I wasn’t pregnant.

Looking back I would call them pregnancy symptoms. My boobs started to hurt at 4DPO (they usually would hurt at 8DPO before AF).  I had trouble sleeping and had a metallic taste in my mouth, both pregnancy symptoms.

This isn’t much help, but my first cycle on clomid (which ended up in ectopic pregnancy) I had perfectly normal AF symptoms (and a perfectly normal AF). My progesterone was 29.9 and all my normal AF symptoms were majorly exaggerated (Serious porn star boobs, major mood swings etc.) I also had several nights of asthma attacks (I have allergy induced asthma) and thought that it was just coincidence but now I’m sure it was from the BFP. I was shocked I was still getting BFNs

That said, in the early days of pregnancy you symptoms are all from high progesterone so it would make since that your symptoms would be almost identical to AF but maybe more exaggerated. Good luck.

i totally thought my period was about to start. The only reason I tested was because I usually start to spot a few days before I actually do start and that wasn’t happening. Looking back the cramps were a little different. Sort of like a pulled muscle in my groin.

The month I got pregnant was the one month I did not think I was pregnant, because I was having all my normal AF symptoms…where as previous months I may have had odd twinges, nausea, etc that I thought were pregnancy related and werent. lol

I was honestly shocked when I got my BFP. I had my regular breast soreness, mild crankiness, breakout, etc.

I had normal AF symptoms… in fact I was SO certain it was just AF that I bought a box of tampons and a bottle of wine instead of pregnancy tests!  Looking back, I did notice I was more fatigued than usual but I was marathon training so I just brushed it off thinking it was from the running.

@PumpkinSpiceChai:  That sounds like a good sign but I know what you mean about symptom spotting. The mind can play tricks and you can really be disappointed.

I’m out for this month but hopefully you’ll get your BFP. Make sure you keep us updated.
